Decided I wanted to host a movie night with the family and stumbled across this 5G WiFi Projector. Yes, I was nervous but that quickly came to an end because of how it exceeded my expectations. My vision quality was 10 out of 10. We watched three movies and one of them was when the sun was just setting. We didn’t have any problems seeing the movie. I connected my iPad to the projector using screen mirroring. Let me say this, I’m completely clueless in connect things but the instructions were easily to understand. There was lag or pause on the projector. All three movies played without stopping or having any trouble. I used a Bluetooth speaker to add that movie theater feeling. However, I did think the built in speaker that the projector had was good enough but in this case I wanted to go all out. Summer is coming so I’m expecting to use this way more in the near future.     • Not sure how much better this is than cheaper options
The thing I like most about this projector is that it's pretty easy to stream wirelessly from your device. After you figure it out once, it's a couple of buttons, connect to the projector wifi, and you can cast from your phone or other device. Let's get the sound quality out of the way; it's not good. I haven't heard a projector with great internal speakers, so, for me, that's a non-factor. These are doable in a pinch, but they sound more like a radio than a TV. Hilarious that they advertise it as "surround sound." No. Just no. As for the picture, it's easy to focus and key. And the quality is decent, though colors aren't particularly vivid and blacks are definitely not black. It's not an HD experience, but it'll give you a projector movie watching experience. The fan may be slightly noisy for some, though I find that it becomes white noise that fades into the background for me. I haven't tested cheaper projector options, but I'm not convinced that you couldn't get something comparable for less. Ofc, I have no idea about the longevity, so that's a factor. But I'd probably choose to go with a more entry model or a higher tier than just meander in the middle. ... show more

This projector has great video quality and comes with a screen and remote I can't wait to set it up outside in my backyard for movie/fight night and barbecue & with the bluetooth and wifi capabilities makes it even more worth the purchase

    • Pretty cool, but I had some issues.
Let me address the issues first. When my projector arrived, it still had fingerprints on the main lens from assembly or QA testing—not a big deal, but the factory should be wearing gloves during assembly to avoid this. The second, bigger issue was that there was a piece of debris on the internal image screen, leaving a big dark spot on the wall. I had to completely disassemble the projector to clean off the screen with one of the included cotton swabs. Now, about the projector itself. It’s not the best solution for a home theater setup. It displays in 1080p and can get a little pixelated at larger screen sizes if you get too close to it. The brightness is adequate in a dark room, and the blacks are as dark as they can get, but it’s just lacking light in those spots. The built-in speaker is okay for a small room, but it’s not very clear. Thankfully, you can connect the device to an external speaker via Bluetooth or a 3.5mm jack for better sound output. The wireless functionality works fine when tested with an iPhone, but it requires the devices to be paired with the projector acting as a WiFi base station. Once connected, you can mirror your phone display, which is fine, but if you receive a notification, everyone looking at the projector will see it. Because of this, I have it hooked up to my Chromecast Ultra and just stream to that device instead. I inspected the included screen, and it looks nice enough, but it only came with adhesive hooks to hang it up, and I would prefer something a bit more portable. The instructions state that it’s meant for movies and similar content and shouldn’t be used for office presentations or anything else that could cause burn-in on the screen. I would probably avoid playing video games for extended periods as well. If you’re considering this projector, know that it’s more of a toy than a home theater solution, but you should still be able to have fun with it. ... show more
