That's our response to these bright "banner" pieces. For us, this is a whole afternoon of delightful fun with our granddaughter, deciding what to put on the various flags. In fact, because this set has 80 pieces, here's our first tip: We did not bring out all 80 pieces. We chose just 10, which makes a nice banner and allows for more banner pieces to be decorated in the future. With DIY arts and crafts fun, you can color on these, print on these, paint on these or simply use them as an opportunity to stick up favorite photos on a banner with a glue stick. Our second tip: If you are interested in this set of "banners," then keep shopping this brand because they also offer other colorful cardstock "punch out" sets, including one with letters and numbers that you could combine with this set if you're so inclined. Our third tip and this is important: Think ahead about where you might hang your banner. That way, you can decide how many pieces to prepare, given the width of the space. AND, you'll want to plan ahead to have some kind of string available to hang the pieces. This box does not include any line to hang the banner. We found that sturdy thread works, if the banner is not in a breezy place, but you might want to choose some other way to string these. This is a great way to work on a project with kids without having to worry about cutting out shapes. We made a banner for a birthday party and each child was able to use their imagination and artistic (or lack of) skills on their own flag. The colors are nice and I love that there are perforated holes to allow you to thread some string through. The fact that the holes are already there makes it easy to not have all of the flags crooked. The only thing I will say is that I am not sure how these are considered large. They are about 4" by 4" (not counting the flag tails). I had thought that large would be the full sheet of paper. Not the fault of the company since I didn't read the description enough but I thought it was worth mentioning. Overall, this was a fun project and I still have some flags left over to use on something else. The cost seems worth it for what you get. ... show more

These are really handy to use for putting together a quick and customized banner. The colors are bright and eye catching. The card stock is perforated so be careful when removing the sheets and handling them. I have made homemade banners using regular card stock paper and it can be time consuming cutting everything out by hand. These really help to speed up the process. The best part is that they are perforated and super easy to punch out making the process of a homemade customized banner far quicker to put together. They even include the hole punches to hang the banner up. Reasonable price too for the amount of banners you can get out of this. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to order these because they are made in the USA, and I wanted to test the quality and give a US company my business. I am happy with the product because it is exactly as described. However, I should have paid more attention to the photo of the packaging because that is the only place where you are told it is 65 lb. card stock. The description only states that it is high quality card stock, but does not give weight. Personally, I prefer a heavier card stock, so I was not happy with myself for not catching that. As you can see from my video, the lighter weight card stock is a little flimsy. For banners, that usually won’t be a problem, unless you want to use them over and over. The colors are vibrant, and the flags are perforated well, so they are easy to punch out. It was a bit more difficult to punch out the dots that need to be removed in order to lace string or ribbon through the flags, but not terribly time consuming. At the current price of $11.99, you are paying about 60 cents per sheet, or 15 cents per flag. If you don’t have access to a die cutting machine (Cricut, etc.), these are a convenient way of making your own banners. For a product made in the USA, that is a decent price. I deducted one star because I think the weight of the card stock should have been made clear in the description, and because the current price is more in line with what you would pay for a heavier card stock. Upon submitting my review, Amazon asks me to rate the following: Sturdiness – 3 stars – this is a lighter weight card stock, so it is a bit on the flimsy side. Use caution when punching out the flags – and especially the dots. Easy to use – 4 stars – Pretty easy to punch out on the perforated lines. The dots are a little tricky because of size and the lighter weight card stock. If you aren’t careful, you could easily tear or bend your flags. I recommend this product. ... show more

My wife teaches Sunday School, and likes having materials to decorate her classroom, as well as materials to use for class projects. The FreshCut Crafts DIY Banner Flags serve both purposes. They are made of nice weight card stock, and the banners are easily punched out. The size is large enough for both adults and children to decorate. They can also be used as are, or letters/words can be written on them to spell out words or create messages. Since they have punched holes on the top end, they can easily be strung to use to create colorful banners for any occasion. We highly recommend them! ... show more
