  • The best tuner
Style: Pedal
There was an update recently so you can add more pictures as screensavers and such. Just the best tuner pedal, if you gig outdoors you know it’s hard to see the tuner, but not with this bad boi. I paired it with the DI box for my acoustic set up. Simple and clean

  • No THRU jack (as advertised) **EDIT
Style: Pedal
EDIT: Walrus Audio reached out to me directly with a sincere valid explanation. Both by email and a phone call! That's some great customer service. Long story short: It was never actually made with the power thru, there was a miscommunication with the listing stating "Onboard power pass-through jack for powering other effects" and showing a picture of the original prototype - which is not the case. They are working on updating it now. Aside from my initial frustration, this pedal is fantastic if you're looking for outstanding display (with a cool photo upload feature to load your own set lists, cat pics, etc.) accuracy, and wide adjustable Hz range, and just some super cool style overall pedalboard bling! Giving it 5 stars now. Bought this because I felt it necessary to exhibit a cute photo of my poor old sick and dying cat on my pedalboard, but more importantly, because it has an adjustable Hertz range & allegedly offers "Onboard power pass-through jack for powering other effects" (even shows detailed photos of said jack) yet the one I just received has no such jack... • Best tuner out there!
Style: Pedal
This tuner is far above the others out there! Easy to use and the ability to add your own wallpaper is just icing on the cake!

  • Cool but a little "extra"
Style: Pedal
How much do you really need in a tuner? The ability to set a custom idle screen is pretty neat and the display IS used in a functional capacity as well so it's not *entirely* fluff. That said I did have a similar problem to another user in that the alternate tuning modes don't seem to work as well as Chromatic. Just using it as a straight forward Chromatic tuner though it does track nice and quick and it generally pleasant to use with a number of practical options for whatever your use case might be (bypass mode, orientation, etc). ... show more

  • Epic in every way! IS this the best tuner ever made ? ? ?
Style: Pedal
I think so! If you can afford this pedal, just get it and you won't be sorry, you can skip the review. If you need a case to made for investing in a premium tuner, read on. Walrus Audio is a company with imagination. If even a year ago people thought they were in third place behind Eventide and Strymon, they are catching up FAST. Today I would say I'd rather have the BEST Walrus than the WORST Eventide. And they've done something special here! I've been playing guitar and bass over 25 years now, and this is the best tuner I've ever had. From Peterson to Polytune, I must I've had every kind of tuner made. Rack tuners to those little things that clip on your headstock. This is a well built box. Premium smooth footswitch. Easy to see buttons. Brilliant, clear display. This is HYPER accurate. If all you want is an easy to use, easy to READ tuner, you couldn't go wrong. It IS that- and a whole lot more! IF you see the pic on the side, it reveals there is more going on. There's an easy to navigate menu, and a usb c port. The manual is a QR code away. I'm not a cell phone person, and I reached out to Walrus to see if I could get it another way, and they responded in the same half day with a pdf. It's a good experience contacting them! Aside from cool features like being able to adjust the brightness, the color scheme, ( 8 colors so far!) the screen ORIENTATION . . . - the center picture didn't come out because of the LEDs, but in real life you can ACTUALLY READ IT on your pedalboard in working musician situations! This wasn't even at max brightness either. - IT gives you access to several MODES of tuning - Strobe, regular, drop tuning, capo tuning, bass tuning . . . it's like several tuners in one. IT also has powerful calibration for tuning SYSTEMS other than 440A. Who would want that ? Well, if you're playing certain world music, ancient instruments, baroque - it's not uncommon to see fluctuating standards of A415 to A466. For it's accuracy, flexibility and unique features I think it can justify it's price. And it's also FUN - you can set the screen wallpaper to your own custom pics, or choose a cute walrus screensaver. You can connect it via usb to walrus for firmware updates and to change out to your custom wallpaper. Because of this, there is a big future here for whatever Walrus can think up. I feel like When they are designing something, the question " Why not GREAT?'' I feel like they did some real searching to redefine what a tuner COULD be; What's more I think they are asking the bigger questions to redefine what a pedal can be. There's nothing else like it. I LOVE it! ... show more
