Ok folks, an honest review here. This is the 'Winner', absolutely love it. At first, I bought another brace that was listed as a top rated seller, which turned out to be an utter disappointment. NOT! It went back to it's maker ASAP, lol. So, I still needed a brace for work, and wanted it today. I was very impressed, and happy. I ordered XL, as my tape measure around my gut, said "43inchs". You have to measure your gut, not your waist, with a tape measure. They're sizing chart was on-da-money. The material is soft, and yes breathable. Velcro is smooth, and strong. I didn't want something that was gonna be digging in under my armpits, or that would make me feel like I was in a body cast, lol. This belt is actually as shown. I love the fact that it comes up higher on the back than a lot of other belts. This belt even holds a cold pac in place as you walk around if you ever needed to put ice/ cold on your back. I even got a compliment while wearing it . They wanted to even know where I bought it. So far it’s working great , Velcro is holding strong, easy to put on & Velcro straps . Make sure you go by the chart to get correct size . I weigh 223 lbs & xl fits perfect for a male . It’s more comfortable if your going to wear it longer to wear it over your shirt , shorter periods under shirt is ok. It certainly helps tremendously when walking . I definitely recommend this . I’m a big girl. It fits with room to spare. One you get it over your stomach ( which is a task for us), you can then tighten with extra straps for a better fit. The relief is immediate. Definitely a good investment. GET IT.

The media could not be loaded. If you want a giggle, if I did this the right way, feel free to watch my silly video. This back brace is the best one I have ever had. I'll do a quick summary of what I said in the video in case it doesn't attach it: The brace is REALLY, REALLY, did I say REALLY easy to put on. It comes with instructions with good illustrations (yes I can read, but my ADHD brain likes pictures. I haven't decided if I'm breaking out the crayons to color it in yet or not. Not important, just a thought) that I followed and got the brace on the right way the first time. I'm HOPING it stands the test of time, I've had other braces with plastic stays, they end up breaking, trying to impale a kidney, and I end up having to throw them away. This brace seems to be much more durable, I'll definitely be updating this review if I have any problems with the quality of it. I DID NOT buy this as a waist trainer/trimmer, but for my beautiful thick people out there, it does give you a pretty hourglass figure if you want that, it would be something you would need to wear a bit tighter and I don't recommend wearing ANYTHING that hurts or makes you uncomfortable, I just wanted to put that out there. I have not tried this under my shirt, I will be doing so soon and I will put a specific update on this review, because it's important for me, so maybe someone else might want that info before they buy. YES it DOES say this in the instructions, but this is hand wash only, no soap or other chemicals (to be perfectly honest, I'll probably just spot clean if needed, I work with raw meat so if I get something gross on it, spot clean is going to be the way to go.) I have really, really bad lower back pain 100% of the time because of arthritis. 2 minutes after putting the brace on, I was already feeling relief. That's a really good sign for me. I don't know if this part will be of any use, but this brace is also really easy to put on someone else if they are not able to do it themselves. It doesn't shift a bunch as you are moving and the overall design just makes it extremely easy to take on and off, I figured I would add that in there just in case. Absolutely 5 out of 5 stars, I've already told my husband that he needs one, as well as my brother and father (yes, bad backs run in the family) If you are looking for a quality product at what I consider to be a great price, I really do highly recommend this back brace. ... show more

Overall a very good product. Only complaint is after a few wears there was a piece of fabric that became exposed causing it to stick in my back and was a bit annoying.

They are about 1 size under the stated sizing chart. Order one size larger then you would think of ordering. It is a nice product once you get the size right. Would order again.
