6 months the shaft was worn to the point it would cause the magnetic impeller to wedge in the housing not spinning. Fortunately i have wifi monitoring on my RDWC tank. I noticed the temperature was nearing 83 degrees. ..that is how I discovered that pump stopped working. Complete change of Nutrients and cleaned out pump. Shaft size .138 diameter...the worn area .118 diameter.... .02 wear on shaft. Other than this while it was working it was nice. There are other brands with the same gph rating....and draw 25 watts...this draws 45 watt ... show more

I needed a small pump to pump water out of my greenhouse that floods to the depth of 6" - 7". This pump is the perfect size for the job. My old pump took 2-3 hours to do the job. For comparison this pump took only 30min to pump the same amount of water. For small jobs, I recommend this pump.

It's a decent pump no complaints about its operation but you can hear the vibration (like a loud bubble pump) even when my aquarium sump is slap full. It won't be used as my main pump but great as a back up or water changes. Also bonus points for the ground pin on the plug. I've had a few that were just 2 pin plugs. ... show more

It worked fine for a while then started getting noisy. Soon it stopped pumping altogether. Took it apart and the impeller has a center portion with a raised area that fits in a groove. This stripped out and the center part of the impeller just spun inside the part with the fins. Poor design.
