It will tone the blondest parts of your hair, not so much the darker blonde hair. I love the color of the toner. It is pearl purpleish, but not overly excessive. It holds for 2-3 washes and then needs to be used again to refresh the color.

However, I don't like going to the hair salon for retouching, and my hair color started fading because some of it used to be blonde. So I decided to try this product. I had my hair done at a salon and she bleached out the color and put a grey color in it. My hair didn’t hold the gray, So I ordered this and I love it! My hair color looks great and I will definitely keep using it.

My hair was very yellow after my last color appointment (I asked for caramel balayage). I found this product but I was concerned it would turn orange based on some other reviews. I used paul mitchell purple shampoo. (twice on dry hair and rinsed, to take out the yellow tone). I applied this product to sections of my wet hair and left for 20-25 mins. I didn't do the entire head because I wanted some of the bright blonde pieces to pop. I am happy with the results. also has a silky feel and smells good. So this product doesn't work as well as I would like it too. It's not even purple when it comes out or goes on your hair it's completely gray. And when you massage it into your scalp it turns completely white soapy. It also kind of has a weird smell to it it's not bad but it's definitely not necessarily pleasant. As you can see in the photo it doesn't really change my hair that much. But I can notice a little bit of a difference. For the amount that ipaid for I wish it would work a little bit better. That's why I only give it 3 out of 5. ... show more
