You should always test colors before buying to see if they will actually work on yourself! I was interested in covering my white hairs, and it really worked, my hair is black. I panicked for a second when I put it on my hair because my hands were black, so I strongly recommend to use gloves before applying, but after my shower, my hands were white again, so I just panicked a little bit. There are things that I like and don't like about this product, so it lands at "meh." It is higher quality than lower priced items. The color is what I expected. It worked for two washes on my hair (so a little too pricey for me). My hair is super dry, so I had to use a LOT of the product just to distribute it through all my shoulder-length hair. It did the job for my hair, but stained my whole bathroom. I was looking for a magenta hue to refresh my cherry cola brunette/black dyed hair and it turned out how I expected! However, it was messier than I thought and it stained my bathroom sink and bathtub!

I really liked this color deposited conditioner better than I ever imagined. I only left in 7 minutes but I'm going for 10 next time. I had some brassiness and grays so after it all blended so nicely. No hand staining. Easy to use. Comb through well. Before and after photos.

I followed the directions and upon rinsing, my hair felt like an entirely different texture. It was slimy and stringy feeling. Something was very wrong with my hair cuticles. I didn't see an improvement in color. Over the course of the next year, I experienced more breakage than I've ever had in my entire life, to the point of having large gaps at the ends of my hair. I had to cut my mid-back length hair up to my shoulders to even it all out. After it grew out, my hair (new growth) is back to normal. I've been highlighting my hair at salons for decades. I don't know, maybe the shade does appear, but this product does not cover up gray hair at all. Not even "at all". My gray hair did not change color after using this mask. I kept the product on for 20 minutes after washing my hair. It's very sad. I tried to show it in the photo, but it's hard to see, since it's hard to catch individual gray hairs in a photo. But you can see 3 white hairs in the first photo and 2 in the second. It's a great pity! I had such high hopes for this product. ... show more
