  • Filter wallets are for suckers!
Size: 49mm
I'll be honest: I purchased this to protect a single filter, so that I could pick it out and toss it in the "everything else" portion of my camera bag. I have padded compartments for camera bodies and lenses, but filters? Those get to tumble around with the mass of chargers, cables, and batteries. Well, the joke's on me. These filter caps make carrying filters so compact and convenient, that I now carry pretty much all of my filters at all times. My filters are now a fist-sized nugget of diopters stacked on neutral density filters stacked on polarizers stacked on God-knows-what. At this point, I could probably use them for self defense if I slipped the mass into a sock. Okay, one caveat: these filter caps are not amazing for adjustable filters. By adjustable, I mean that once the filter is screwed on, you can twist it to change the orientation, like graduated filters and some polarizers. Obviously, those do not play so well together in a stack, and if two adjustable filters get jammed together, good luck. The outside rings on adjustable filters are often too skinny even for my trusty filter wrenches to get a grip. Alright, so this might not be a great solution if you have a bunch of filters of different diameters. Is that situation all your fault, for not getting all your filters in the largest diameter needed, and using step-down rings? You know it is; hang your head in shame. Still, those step-down rings need somewhere to ride, and a wallet might be the better solution then. ... show more

  • Does job but beware overtightening the caps onto the filter
Size: 67mm
This product does what it advertises, protects a filter or a stack of filters when they are stored in a camera bag. No bulky filter cases are needed anymore. But a word of caution: do not tighten the caps tightly onto the filter. I did with an expensive polarizing filter and almost couldn't get the cap with internal threads off. It took quite some effort to break the connection. Thought I might lose the filter. Finally came apart. Now I only loosely thread both caps on. Still protects the filter. That is the reason for the 3 Star rating. It does it's job well, just don't tighten the caps all the way. ... show more

  • So convenient and compact
Size: 67mm
Hard to finds much to complain about here - stacked a bunch of ND, polarized, and color filters together in the most compact possible configuration possible and dropped it into my camera bag. The edges of the filters are still exposed, but no dust or anything is going to get on the glass. I thought it might be annoying to separate them again (vs taking them out of a wallet) but it's not a big deal really and I feel like this keeps them safer. If you are still worried about them just put the whole thing in a chamois or a wallet. ... show more

  • 67mm Male Cap & Matching 67mm Female Cap
Size: 67mm
"Filter Stack Caps" are pairs of "Threaded Aluminum Covers." One has "Male Threads," and the second has "Female Threads." They each screw together. One can buy these in the sizes of their lenses and filters, to add protection for the threads that don't have any caps. There are no standard caps for the "back side" of filters; the male thread side of the filter. So if you want to protect the "back side" of a filter, you have to provide your own cap. These "Filter Stack Caps" include a "female threaded" cap that will fit the "back side" of your filters. I have each of these, and recommend each: Fotasy MLC 52mm Camera Filter Stack Caps Fotasy MLC 67mm Camera Filter Stack Caps Fotasy MLC 82mm Camera Filter Stack Caps ... show more

  • Great way to protect your filters... (If you're not in a hurry.)
Size: 67mm
I bought these to use with a stack of 67mm filters. (Four NDs and a CPL.) They fit as expected and are fairly easy to handle if you don't torque them on too tightly. I love the compactness and solid feel of the stack. The only downside is the time required to unscrew the filter front and back, followed by then screwing it onto the lens. Not a big deal if you're not in a hurry, but could be annoying if you tend to change the filters often. ... show more

  • Space Saver
Size: 58mm
I often find it difficult to put all my filters on a filter bag to be brought along during shoots. This is a good alternative to protect my filter while saying space in my bag because it's stackable. I also combine 2 sizes whenever needed (have to buy two sets of different filter sizes but it's cheap enough), like when I keep my CPL or when I have to use a converter ring for a bigger filter. Then I can still keep them together, saves one step to connect only when using it. ... show more

  • First of all I like these filter caps
Size: 77mm
First of all I like these filter caps. It is made of sturdy aluminum and it works well as a way of protecting and carrying your filters. I've got some very expensive B+W 77mm polarizer and UV's that I want to protect and this is much better than carrying each in separate plastic cases. I have this same stack product also for 58 and 82 mm filter sizes. And I stack them into a canon lens leather pouch which works ideally and keeps the metal from these from scratching anything else in my camera bag. And on that note, the one thing you need to be careful about with these is they are machined aluminum and if you throw them in your bag make sure they aren't going to scratch something else. (thus the reason I carry all of my different stacks in a single leather lens pouch). I've been investigating plasti-dipping them as well as a way of keeping them from scratching other things. That said they work perfectly in storing and protecting the lenses. I would give 5 stars however however I deducted 1 star since mine seemed to have been dropped and was dinged. And the ding formed a sharp burr which not only could cut you but also easily scratch up something else even a filter. Not good. That said it was easy to smooth out and I didn't return. Aside from that I highly recommend these for all filter sizes. ... show more
