Description

In a split-second, a car crash killed almost everything between them. Ten years later, can one accidental ride fix tattered spirits, uncertain futures, and broken hearts? Lily Grantham has always done what she’s been told. The daughter of a senator, she grew up as the good girl of Fawn Hill, and carried that torch right on through to adulthood. Her only wild streak? Bowen Nash. She loved that boy since the day they laid eyes on each other, and it nearly ended them both. A decade later, and Lily still can’t move on. Even if Bowen has made it clear he doesn’t love her anymore. Bowen Nash never wanted the life he’s trapped in. Destined for baseball fame and the love of his high- school sweetheart, that existence vanished in the flip of an old pickup. Now, he’s stuck in the town that produced his worst nightmare. Pretending to hate Lily Grantham guts him day in and day out. But to protect her from the ultimate secret, it’s necessary to break his own heart each time they pass on the street. They’ve been fighting fate for as long as it’s been chasing them. And now, time is up. Read more

  • Small town, second chance romance
I thought my allergy medicine had quit working for me all of a sudden while reading Forgiven, but no that was just Carrie Aarons breaking my heart in every which way that she could. If you’ve ever been a teenage girl Lily’s emotions will resonate with you on so many levels. I would highly recommend reading this book after Fleeting just to get warmed up. Had I tried to dive into this book first, I don’t think I could have handled the intense emotions Bowen and Lily put me through. It took a majority of the book for the big secret to finally be revealed and normally I would get bored or annoyed but once again Carrie Aarons is a professional fiddler of the emotions and draws it out just the right amount. To have a first love so strong that even after you’ve broken up it drives you crazy for ten years, I can’t even imagine. I’d kill for a love like that but reading Bowen and Lily’s story was definitely worth all the heart ache and heart break and tears. The Nash Brothers would have me eating out of the palm of their hands. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(5 out of 5) Another five star read from Carrie Aarons. Forgiven is full of secrets, blackmail, love, family betrayal, heartbreak, hot sex, and a sexy ass Nash brother. What more could you really ask for? Well other than another book in the series 😁. Full disclosure, I am so in love with this series that I actually received an ARC for Forgiven to be on the blog tour and still pre-ordered the ebook. I don’t think I’ve ever done that but that’s how obsessed I am with The Nash Brothers *swoon* ... show more

  • Exceptional Read
Forgiven keeps you turning the page! The actual two stories in one, in my opinion, make it even better. You always here of politicians wreaking havoc to cover up anything they don't want to be public knowledge as is done in this story. Is this true? Lily and Bowen have some very explicit sexual scenes in this book that I would rather have done without, but the story is great. ... show more

  • An angsty second chance romance
After reading Fleeting and getting to know a little bit about Bowen and Lily, I had to jump right into Forgiven to get their story, and boy am I glad I did. This story takes angst to the next level and is the epitome of second-chance romance! Bowen and Lily were high-school sweethearts, the loves of each-others lives until an accident 10 years ago ripped them apart and left Lily wondering why Bowen up and walked out of her life without any answers. He ignores her when he sees he in town, and does everything he can to not be around her, but her love for him has never faded. Forced to be around each other with Presley and Keaton's wedding coming up and them being the best man and maid of honor, things get tense between them and Lily is sick of not having answers and starts to push Bowen.I loved the push and pull of their relationship, and I hated the conflict that Bowen had. When we find out why he broke their hearts so many years ago, I was angry and hurt for both of them, and angry with Bowen for not telling Lily, but he was young and I could understand why he didn't go to her originally. Soon them getting back together is undeniable, but Bowen is still keeping a secret that could ultimately break them and when it comes out the repercussions are not pretty. Lily and Bowen have a tough road in this book to find happiness, and many times I didn't think they would find it. Bowen had to do a lot of self reflection to figure out what he wanted and what he was willing to lose to be with Lily and what it meant to be truly happy, and Lily had to figure out if she could truly ever live without Bowen in her life. These two are perfect for one another, and they missed out on so many years together because of some horrible decisions by others, but in the end, I am so happy with how this book ended. I also loved that we got to see Keaton and Presley tie the knot as well as see more of the characters I started to fall in love with in Fleeting. I can't wait to dive in to the next Nash Brothers book and see who falls in love next and hopefully get to see more of Lily, Bowen, Presley and Keaton as well! If you love angsty second chance romances, then you need to pick up Forgiven today! ... show more

  • fabulous second chance
Forgiven is a fabulous second chance romance. You are just going to love the chemistry Lily and Bowen put out as they finally figure out what went so long years ago. Bowen is the middle Nash brother who keeps things close to his chest. Lily is the sweet librarian who tries to please her family. Secrets that were kept come out and you are going to just fall in love with Lily and Bowen as they discover what happened. Lily and Bowen are hot together and you are going to love them so much. I'm having a hard time picking my favorite Nash brother. I cannot wait for more Nash brothers to come. ... show more

  • A story that is just everything. It’s got romance, wit and betrayal
This book is a tell all that hits you right in the all the feels. It’s got romance, wit, betrayal and much more. Simply put, this book is just everything. Forgiven is a friends to lovers, intriguing and a beautiful heartbreaking story! What was so beautiful about it is that Lily was so raw, so open and unafraid to show her emotions. I thought I was in love with Book 1 but I have to say that Book 2 won my heart. Just the pure raw emotions in this story is something I absolutely love. This story definitely pulls at the heart strings, and will also make you fall in love with Bowen. A complex character and somewhat of an enigma in Fleeting, but here all is revealed and you will find out why he is the way he is. 5 amazing stars for this one. Carrie nailed all the feels with her beautiful words. I am just loving this series! Such sweet romances, yet filled with struggles that are relatable and true to life. I can't wait to see the next Nash brother story. ... show more
