I wanted a wooden base (as opposed to a glass one) so that I could easily attach the base to the shelf that will support the TV. I was concerned that the chipboard/MDF/whatever material of the base might not be strong enough, however it seems strong and is also reinforced underneath with a horizontal steel structure that's connected to the main vertical steel support strut. It was easy to drill and screw the base to my shelf for earthquake security. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease of installation. This item comes with instructions and an assortment of metric screws that should enable installation of any modern TV. The instructions suggest 55in as a maximum screen size, but my 65 seems fine. ... show more

The assembled stand is fine. Getting it assembled is another story. The parts come in packaged plastic pouches marked with letters that correctly correspond to the parts list in the instructions (left side of the book in the picture). However, when you begin to assemble, the part letter called out in the instructions is NOT the part in the pouch with that letter (right side in picture). The first step is to attach the feet, noted as Q in the instructions. Q in the parts bags contained screws. After searching, we found the feet in W. Every part part noted in the instructions was like this. At one point, it called for a letter that was not even in the packages. With parts like feet, it’s pretty easy to figure out, but this set has 5 or 6 different screws/bolts which leads to a fair amount of guesswork and a lot of trial and error. Once we got it together, we were very happy with the stand. My only complaint was that we used this for a small 32” tv, and the brackets show at the bottom. Not a deal breaker for me, and it would not be an issue on a larger tv, but would have preferred it not to show. We purchased this unit with the wood base so that we could screw it to the table for stability since the cat knocked the previous tv off. This would also probably help someone concerned with earthquakes. It was a piece of cake to predrill and attach the screws. Overall, very happy once we made it through the instructions. ... show more

    • Nice stand, bad assembly instruction
It’s a nice and sturdy stand, but the assembly is time consuming. The parts are not labeled according to the instruction, so you get to figure out which one looks most like the picture. The pictures themselves are way too small to make out important details and you can’t actually hang the TV on the stand as described, you have to lay it down. If you make it through the assembly, you get a nice stand, but if you depend on clear instructions, you are not going to like this one. ... show more

Do not buy this product. 1. The instructions and parts letters do not match, but I got it figured out. 2. The wooden base is CHEAP. Two of the mounting screws pulled through while transporting it attached to the TV in the back seat. 3. The securing brackets are not that secure. While attempting to remove the TV from the stand in an effort to fix the base, the TV (32") slide and smashed my thumb between the TV and securing bracket. Needless to say, there was a lot of swearing going on. Big gash and possibly going to lose the fingernail. Lesson learned. I guess you get what you pay for Spend the extra money folks. ... show more

    • Everything I needed was included.
Reading about the tempered glass bases for these table top TV mounts shattering and dumping the TV over, I wanted something reliable. Decided on this wooden base table top TV mount. Ordered it. Then read further reviews about the bolts pulling loose from the wood base, allowing the TV to tip over forward. The unit I just got (8/8/21) has totally eliminated that problem. The bolts now thread into a metal bracket under the wood, with braces spreading the stress over the entire wooden base. Problem solved. It's now very sturdy and should never be a problem. Spacers and several different screw sets to mount to the TV are also included. Everything I needed was there. Good product that should last the life of the TV. Good luck, RIC ... show more
