These buckets are great for storing anything long-term. They’re definitely air-tight, yet the lids are easy to put on and take off. That’s important if you have problems in your hands like arthritis. I highly recommend these for anyone with long-term food storage in mind. They’re worth the money!

If you are serious about long term storage of just about anything, you have to get some of these buckets. The rubber gasket along with the rachet-like, screw on lid prevent oxygen, moisture, and bugs from getting inside. The push button release is also handy for when you want to open the bucket. Of course you need to use oxygen absorbers. It is also best if you can store the bucket in a dark place that is not subject to wide temperature changes. I bought these buckets for several uses. The main use is to store cat food in the barn. I have tried for years to outsmart the racoons in getting into a standard 5 gallon bucket with a snap on lid. I can barely get the snap lids on and off but the racoons have all night and they obviously don't give up. Anyway, the racoons are very mad that I have these buckets. They chew and scratch the edges but they cannot get in! These buckets with screw on tamperproof trigger lids are great! ... show more
