This vacuum is around 9.5 inches wide at it's widest point the uv lamp is3.25 inches wide. The area used for suction is 2 inches wide. It's so small in comparison to this FAT body that it can't reliably come in contact with the mattress surface to create suction. In addition, the small size of the vacuum means that it would take forever to vacuum a normal mattress. You can't even say for sure what areas you've already gone over because the body is so large it obscures your path. I do love the UV lamp, though. ... show more
