Landed a decent trout with this. Magnet is strong, net looks great. Didn't get the fly or line tangled like other old style string nets. Rather impressed when I opened the package and saw a very nice wooden frame. 25 bucks, worth it I guess. You can see the net on my knee in the photo

I have examined this very reasonably priced net critically and closely. I believe that it will last very well. The hoop that holds the net is smooth extruded black anodized aluminum. This aluminum hoop mounts into a heavy plastic block that I believe will be very durable when I look at the heft of the plastic. The net is tough feeling fiber of some type that feels very sturdy. The netting is rubberized and appears to be very tough and yet it should be easy on the fish so they can be safely released without harm. I am impressed by the small hole size in the netting. I measured the oval shaped holes at approximately 1/4" X 3'16". This should let me use this for netting minnows as well as landing larger fish. The netting is held in place in the hoop very securely and all edges are hidden and protected within the aluminum hoop. The stitching is well done and well finished. It appears to have great lasting strength. The 8" folding handle folds very nicely and securely it is easy to unfold using just one hand. It should be very easy to store out of the way on my fishing boat. I do wish there was some type of belt clip on the net frame for stream fishing but I am sure it will be easy to rig this little beauty with a lanyard and clip to take care of that. I will be shocked if I don't get years of enjoyment from this net. I will add to this review if it disappoints in any way but I do not see that happening. I am ordering another of these right away. The media could not be loaded. I loved how easy the net is to store and use. The rubber netting kept my baits from tearing holes in it. Being light and compact my children were able to use it and feelpart of the whole fishing experience. Great net all around. FATMAN FISHING APPROVED!!!!

I have had a lot of hand nets. There was only one problem. The lanyard was a bit small for me. I fixed it and it’s is the best net I’ve ever used. So beware if ur tall this nets lanyard is rather small.

This net is a affordable trout landing net. It has a foldable handle for making it more compact to store or travel with. The net material is a rubbery type of material and has a flat bottom to keep the fish in the proper position making it easier to handle release the fish and also reduces the chances of the hook snagging on the net material.
