  • Best one money can buy imo
Style: 59 W
works great, very bright, The app makes it easy to send profiles to different light bars. I have two on a 90 gallon. No algae problems.

Great fully automatic lighting system. Literally just plug it in, open the app and press connect. Boom you're done!

  • Great sized light for the price
Style: 59 W
Bought this to replaced a large T5 fixture on my 75 gallon aquarium. I had switched from salt to a freshwater planted tank. The old fixtures was large and loud (several large cooling fans). It has a very low profile and is very light. The extender arms makes it easy to "attach". It is very bright. The app does take a little gets used to, if you want to make adjustments from the presets. The fixture itself does get a little warm. Not burning hot, but it can be a little surprising when you touch it. Really like the programmability. The old T5 fixture did have timers built-in, so it could do a day-night cycle, but no where close to the extent this does. Before it was basically time on/time off for each of the 2 array of 3 lights, plus some moonlight leds. This will let you control the color and intensity of all the lights and have them adjust up or down throughout the day. ... show more

  • Plug and Play.
Style: 59 W
Light was set up within 5 minutes on my 75g freshwater tank including the time for the firmware update. Beautiful light, attractive on top of the tank and the app is quite the time saver. It’s stupid easy to setup as well as use. Best light I’ve ever used.

  • So far so good, some specific thoughts:
Style: 59 W
So far so good. I was very reluctant to purchase this. So much so, that I purchased a few others before this based on price alone. Well those other ones didn't work out so here I am. The light works. The light is on the hotter side of warm, but not abnormal for a heat spreader on top of a light (I can place my hand on it with no problem). The power brick gets moderately warm, I have no concern with that. Color wise, it has less options than other brands. I feel like I don't have the full customization that you typically would with newer LED lights. The blue seems a little more aqua blue than a rich bold blue. The red is not red it's pink. I think they even call it out as Pink. My concern is if the wavelengths are sufficient for plant growth (but this is a plant light, so I'm giving it the benefit of doubt). For as best as you can tell, I added pictures of each of the colors at 100% and all others at 0. Manual mode on my camera so it did not color adjust all in the same lighting conditions at the same location. The app is okay. It clearly wasn't designed by a US based consumer. Once you realize that "Export" means load profile; things make a lot more sense. Also the slider bar for setting times in the pro setting has no way to input hard numbers; therefore I try to set a given time and as I remove my finger it tends to go up or down by 5 minutes, which is frustrating as anything... Once you get it setup, it works just fine. Seems to keep time well and transition as you would expect. It's only been a week now. If my plants live and it doesn't break then it'll be worth the money; though I feel it is a little over priced. ... show more

  • Bright Light Does Not Adjust for Daylight Savings
Style: 59 W
Ordered this light for a 55 gallon planted aquarium and am pleased. The light housing is very sturdy and well built. The light and housing and transformer do get warm when on full bright, but not hot enough that they can't be touched or affect the water temperature. I like the different settings that can be programmed using the app and that I don't have to remember to turn it on or off. It did not adjust automatically to daylight savings time and there isn't any instruction on that or how to reset it after a power outage. After a quick internet search, it seems you just have to open the app and reconnect the light to the app and it will update to your phone's time settings, but that information would have been nice to have out of the box. ... show more

  • Troubleshooting your lightbar
Style: 59 W
A lot of people seem to be having trouble with first time set up. When you get the light, plug it up, turn it on. Button goes white. Press again and it's in 24/7 mode. Button goes green. Turn off, button goes red. After that, download the app. You will need to update the firmware. Before doing so, turn on your bluetooth on your device. You will be able to connect to the light. It will likely disconnect from bluetooth when the update is complete. I think there was an automatic restart involved, which explains this. You will need to tell the app to reconnect. If you just press the big blue screen with the grey bluetooth icon it may not reconnect. Hit back, and select the light again. If that doesn't work, turn the light off at the button and on again, and then repeat. If that doesn't work, restart the app. It works. It's reliable. Bit sometimes it's a little twitchy with Bluetooth connection. Also, it's bluetooth, no range. Stand right in front of the tank, not in another room or more than say 10 feet away, if you're having trouble connecting. I have 3 of these lights. I've had unnecessarily brighter lights. I love the spectrum control I get from the app. One review said they can't work periods of darkness in. That's not true, at all. There's numerous modes, one called pro. In which you can have as many periods of dark as you want just by scheduling all lights 0% and then set the time you want them to light by adding another 0% time. Then add your levels and time for your sunrise peak. It will turn on at the second 0% and rise over time until it hits the time you set for your sunrise peak. That's all you need to do. Add a second 0%. From there add another line with your noon percentages for the spectrum you want. Then add a line for when to start your sunset, and a line for 0% to turn off if you want. I think there are ten possible lines. I change mine all day. Reddish sunrise, yellowish afternoon, crystal blue nights. It's great watching the sunrise with my coffee. Also, this app has a faq/help section, and a manual. They really are trying to help. Can't recommend enough. Wish I was being paid to say so. I'd spend real time on a review if so. ... show more
