  • A great tool
Size: Cable Stripper (Round)
Been using this model for many years. Very reliable for data cabling.

  • Great Little Tool
Size: Cable Stripper (Round)
I've been using it with Cat5e/6 cables and 25-twisted-pair cables, does a great job on both. Unfortunately the first one I ordered actually came with no blade at all inside the package (a pretty spectacular failing on the part of QA for a stripper that costs this much, only reason I knocked a star off) and so I had to run around town tracking down a replacement blade as I needed this thing that day. I did however like it so much (once it had a blade in it) that I wound up ordering a second one to keep at home. Moral of the story is, order it ahead of time and check to see if it has a blade before you open the packaging. ... show more

  • works well
Size: 2 and 3 Level for RG58/59 Coax Cable
It works fine, and it's pretty adjustable. Four stars because it's *miserable* to move the little blades around, there is no built-in storage for the extra blade if you switch from 3 to 2 blade strips, it's kind of a pain to adjust, and the blades are proprietary. If you need to strip RG-58 or 59, this is one of the few that will really do it. If you just need RG-6, there are lots of other options that will work just as well, if not better. ... show more

  • A little pricey but works really good
Size: Cable Stripper (Round)
initially I thought it was very expensive but I already had couch that it fits in so I went ahead and spent the money it's pretty good quality and it makes my job bleed easier but still a bit overpriced just because it says fluke on it.

  • Have one per type of cable/connector
Size: 2 and 3 Level for RG58/59 Coax Cable
In short: I have 3 of these, one for each type of bmc crimp connector I use. As a video engineer and builder of equipment racks, I really like this product if I'm not using compression crimp connectors. Have been using this style of coax stripper for several years. IMO, the only downside to this type of design is that it takes a while to "dial in" the razor blades. This is not a defect or indicator of poor quality, it is just that re adjusting the 3 blades takes time. However once you get it right, the blades usually stay in the calibrated position. ... show more

  • Not on par with Fluke quality
Size: Cable Stripper (Round)
Usually I equate Fluke with unwavering quality. While these are okay, they have been a bit off since day one. Mainly, I have to grip the stripper and apply pressure to cut into the jacket of a Cat 5 cable. While not an issue, and 9/10 times I don't cut into a lead - if I'm comparing it to the products from Klein and Platinum tools it fails in comparison. The small retainer at the front of the strippers often wiggles its way loose as well. (Re-adjusting the blade doesn't help.) All in all it's double the price of comparable tools and requires more effort and precision to use correctly. I'll continue to use my Fluke toner and probe but I'll keep a more precise cable stripper in my tool bag. ... show more

  • best CAT5 stripper and more
Size: Cable Stripper (Round)
I have had this stripper for about 6 years; I have put it through heavy use. I have stripped thousands of CAT5 cables with this tool (not an exaggeration). I am a field tech, I use this in the field to strip CAT5 or b-9502, or b-8760, or even triple 12 awg conductor insulation. I have had many clients remark that this is one of the best tool designs they have seen. When the blade depth is adjusted correctly, a couple of spins without any pressure will score the insulation without cutting through and nicking internal conductors. A quick twist of the insulation and it breaks off perfectly. I still use mine, I just bought another for my new technician in training. ... show more
