My son is an apprentice electrician and regularly is put on cleanup duty at work. He brings home 1-2 buckets of scrap wire a week and uses this to strip it. This stripper seems to be holding up well and continues to do a great job. It takes a little practice to figure out how to fine tune it but once you got it down it’s a breeze. Happy with the quality for the cost. Wire guide hits cutting wheel when snugged up, used a couple washers to space it away to solve problem. Blade adjustment is simple, and wheel seems to grab the wire firmly. Speed might be a little fast for larger wire , variable speed knob would be handy.

I stripped old wire and old cable wire rather quickly. The cable wire I had to do twice one for outer cover the again for the metal shield. Don’t use the gloves that come with it, they are cloth.
