I've always had issues with my ears not draining properly. The doctor said I have small eustachian tubes and they had wanted to put put permanent plastic tubes in my ears. Fortunately, my mother refused to do it, so I wasn't endlessly teased throughout grade school. I've simply had to deal with my ears not draining whenever I go swimming. Well, this time it happened in the shower. Got a stream of water smack dab in my ears and it was stuck there for MONTHS. I could not hear anyone or anything but the constant swishing of water inside of my head. It was driving me mad. I was worried about it becoming infected. I tried absolutely everything to drain it and nothing was working. I finally read something that said Flonase could help so I leapt at the chance it might work. It makes sense, because the inner ears are connected to the sinuses. The first couple days, I didn't notice anything but I continued to use it, once a day in the morning, 4 sprays in each nostril, and by about the 5th day, my ears were clear!
