I decided to use these for my 3 year old granddaughter. She came to stay overnight, so I placed them in the spare room she was going to sleep in. My son blew them up and out into the sunshine to charge they went. As soon as it was dark they automatically started glowing. It was exciting to watch them start to glow. Kids loved these in the pool. And the parents thought they were a neat touch. Sometimes the water will have waves and turn off the ball but another wave turn it back on.     • Ugly in daytime but awesome in the dark
I have mixed feelings about these. They are gray and look like the moon during the day. It really isn’t that attractive, but for kids it’s pretty cool. Then at night they get a pretty glow. So that makes up for the daytime appearance. They do have a remote but that immediately disappeared. My fault of course, but it is small and with everyone wanting to mess with these it was and to keep track of. As far as durability, these stayed inflated for the whole summer. Or at least the ones my dog didn’t pop! The Solar part worked fine and the lights stayed bright for several hours. It does have a power button if you want them off for some reason. Everyone loved these at night. I just wish they color was a little prettier for daytime. The price is ok, I found it to be a little high but not unreasonable. These lights did not do much for me, I originally ordered them for my pool for a party. They were easy to set up although I was not impressed with the level of brightness. I have found better light up balls for the money so that is why I gave 3 stars. They are kind of plain.

    • Wonderful garden accent lights
We scattered these around our garden rather than placed in pool. There is a loop on the top for hanging, but if you hang on tree branch, or roof overhang when you don't get much light, the solar panel doesn't charge as fully. The material is thinner than a beach ball. Slightly weighted at bottom, so it will stay upright if placed in pool. We love that they come with an easy to use remote and a number of lighting colors, dimming options and timer. We used a handpump to inflate these and it was very easy. Good size balls, visitors can spot our home easily. They look like grey printed beach balls by day, come alive at night. Recommend. ... show more
