Amazon sells Flame Kings 30 lb tank which is a better value!!! 2 of these tanks hold 5 more gallons of propane than the 40lb tank, but cost virtually the same. Both size tanks are very well made and are light enough to carry even when full. The tanks come with an OPD valve (Overfill Prevention Device) which is a great safety feature. The 40lb tank, as well as the 30lb tank, give me the ability to not have to store and rotate gasoline, as I no longer have to worry if my gas is fresh. This is my 2nd Flame King tank, my 1st being a 100 gallon. I look forward to many years of reliable use from my 40lb tank as I've gotten from my 100 gallon tank. ... show more

Bought this for a propane powered generator. The tank arrived well packaged and intact. It seems well made and sturdy. Filled it about two weeks ago. No signs of leakage. Also purchased the base to help stabilize it and prevent it from being knocked over while in use.

The bottle is pretty tall, and to fill then transport most places want you to have it properly secured in a bed of a truck or to the walls of a van. I was going to move in a trailer but that darn trailer bounced around too much when I hauled a cement mixer, and I am not going to make that mistake again. I plan on buying another and maybe a smaller tank, regulators and hoses to move gas between tanks as needed too. ... show more
