It was packaged nicely with the plastic mesh stuff around it and it was built nicely with a nice paint job and everything moved smoothly and freely. There's not much more that one can say about a propane tank, but it seems to be made right and is happily feeding a foundry furnace

I took this to U-Haul and they filled it for me............it took 26 gallons of propane. Compared to other propane tanks on the market this is a good priced item. Great quality, boxed with no shipping damage. Don't forget to buy a long hose with tank level indicator to make using this easier. I feel better having improved my hurricane supply kit! ... show more

We bought these tanks to go with our propane heaters. The installation was easy and it was easy to disconnect to take them and have them filled. They are solid and heavy. But the performance was good. Very little leakage if any.

My girlfriend bought 2 of these so we would have enough propane on hand for a potential power outage. 1 had a small 1” crease in the side, barely enough to feel, and the other had the top section severely bent. Most places won’t fill a tank that is damaged that bad, which is understandable. The tank is shipped in a thin cardboard box, as if shipping handlers actually care about your items. Well, they don’t. So the tank should be packed accordingly. The return was accepted, but I still had to put it in the truck and take it to the UPS store on my time and my dime. The price is good overall so I placed an order another one. I will find out shortly if this one will make it unscathed. But if you don’t have the means to return a large, heavy, item like this. You may want to spend a little more and get it from a local store and have it delivered. Returning these is a huge pain. As for the tank, it is sturdy and comes pre purged. I was only able to put 24 gallons in it before it was full though. When it is full, it it obviously very heavy, so have a dolly to use if you have to move it any length distance. ... show more

I am super happy with my purchase. The shipping box was excellent there was no damage at all even on the box couldn't have been better on the shipping. The only thing that is important for you to know is that when you take it in to get it filled for the first time it's really important that you have then put the tank on a vacuum if that's the type of equipment they have or after the first time of getting it filled from just a normal propane place that doesn't have the vacuum make sure to open the thumb screw in a very well ventilated place and go ahead and let it bleed off for about I'd say a minute. You'll notice liquid dropping out of the screw and what it is is water that builds up after being manufactured and shipped and temperature changes so a quick bleeding off the top of the tank will make the propane come out perfect. ... show more
