    • Powerful Burner - works great for frying a turkey.
Burner is sturdy and powerful. Used it to fry our 20+ lbs turkey for thanksgiving. It heated the oil quickly and had no trouble maintaining the temperature through out the cooking process. Looking forward to using it again to make kettle corn and such.

I am using this to brew beer. We have also boiled 5 gallon pots of water for huge batches of spaghetti. It is 8 times hotter than my home stove. You need to put it on a non-combustable surface. I put mine on top of my grill. Definitely worth the cost.

    • This thing is a nightmare to use.
Way to short, flames blew back into the ground. I had to put something in front of the hose to keep it from melting. All the paint burnt off creating a nasty toxic smoke. The metal it is made of is super thin and warped a little. Trust me, get something else.

Using the Flame King to finish boiling maple syrup. Even flame across three gallon stainless pot. Very good heat control to prevent boil overs and scorching. Burner is cast iron. Frame is bolted together enameled pressed steel. Sturdy enough so far. A cast iron frame would have yielded a five star rating. ... show more
