I started off loving this scraper, did a great job. I have a 180G with 1/2" glass and bought the MAX. It was fantastic, until I realized the stainless blade side was leaving hairline scratches on my glass. I pulled it out and noticed a little burr on the blade. I've returned it but get to live with hairline scratches on my new tank forever. So bummed, I can't believe my new tank glass has scratches now. **edit** added photos: I've kept looking, I wish I could give this negative 1 million stars, tiny scratches everywhere. I order a lot of things from Amazon but don't have thee time to write many reviews. I just received this product today and had to write a review immediately. I have a 300 gallon acrylic aquarium. I was frustrated with the build up of coralline algae and allgaie that builds up in scratches that develop over time. Using this product was so easy and efficient. I wish I had known about this product sooner. As a note, the product comes with a stainless steel and a plastic blade. I didn't realize there was an extra plastic blade included and mistakenly used the stainless steel one on my acrylic aquarium. I'm happy to say that no damage occurred due to my error. Once I swapped out the blade for the correct one, I found equal effectiveness. I highly recommend this time-saving, efficient product. ... show more

Much larger surface area than the Mag Float XL for less than half the price. Working well on my 1.25" thick acrylic tank. I like that the scrapping surface is easily visible past the outside handle. You can see if tiny bits of sand or such get in there before scratching your tank. With my mag floats, I had no idea until it was too late. I was worried about the hard ABS scrapper on my acrylic tank, however it works very well with zero scratches. The flipping action is tricky, but the easiest way is to go around a corner and get it to jump around. Then move back around the same corner to the front again while flipping the handle 180* quickly. The inside piece will roll over. The ABS scrapper side has 4 white nylon sliders to prevent any scratching as it glides along. Using my old mag float to hold up a large Monti-Cap colony I glued to it. ... show more

AMAZING!!! My reef tank is 3' deep with a canopy and I've gone through at the very least 50 different scrapers, razors, magnets, and various contraptions and spent countless hours trying to keep the front glass clean -- I gave up on the sides years ago and just let Coraline have them. This Flipping Magnet has turned a dreaded weekly 2 hour job into a 30 second assault on Coraline. At first I was reluctant to purchase because I assumed it would just be another broken promise but seriously this totally changes the reef hobby!! Now STOP READING AND BUY IT!!!!! ... show more

Have used many glass cleaners over the years and have to say this one is the best by far. Have tried both the small and large and both work great. The ability to go from pad to scraper without taking it out of the water is awesome.

I got this because the regular one felt a little weak on the thick glass on my 200 gallon tank. This is very strong and cleans the glasss very well. Having used multiple others, I can confidently say that for my glass cleaning I don't need anything else. This does it all.
