This cargo Car Roof Bag worked great! With 3 adults travelling during the weekend 800 miles each way I started to panic since we had a lot of luggage and gifts to bring as well.     • Good Value Looks Well Built
We bought this cargo carrier bag to use on our hitch mounted cargo carrier. We needed to free up space in the car when we take our cats on trips with us. We travel with a lot of gear and just didn't have room for the cats in the back seat. This bag looks big enough to take most of the stuff we used to pack in the back seat. That will give us plenty of room for the cats. It is made of heavy duty vinyl and the seams all appear to be welded well. It has a very nice heavy duty zipper and a zipper weather flap that is secured with strong Velcro. We have not used this in the rain, but it appears it would stay dry inside. It comes with six nylon straps to hold it to the luggage carrier. It also comes neatly packed in a storage sack. Unfortunately once we unfolded and opened the carrier bag we were unable to fold it flat enough to get it back into the storage sack. That is certainly not a reason to avoid this product, but it is a peeve of mine that manufacturers too often make storage bags that will fit a product only once, when it is packed at the factory in ideally flat conditions and never again once you start using the product. ... show more

I will be using this on my new hitch mount folding cargo carrier if it is threatening rain at all or just to keep stuff clean and secure during travel. This was the tallest one I could find and technically is a couple inches too wide for the carrier base, but that actually ends up helping. I'm going to fabricate cardboard (corrugated plastic if possible) to make it more like a box, also making it easier to deal with when using (instead of it flopping around limply as you try to load/unload/zip/unzip/etc). This pic shows carrier without bag, I will get a good pic and post it later after I make my bag more rigid. It sure does look nice and is made of very thick vinyl and folds up easy and goes into a bag that is 12x14x4 inches. That's an amazing feat! Once I fabricate inner walls though, then ill have those to stow as well. More than likely, the bag and hitch carrier will on be left together and I'll just pull it all out of the hitch and put in the garage or shed (even outside) when not in use. I have yet to determine any loss in mileage. My 1st 1000 miles I got 32mpg, with hitch carrier 31mpg, add roof bars 30mpg. I probably won't lose any because I the bag is behind the vehicle, where the air is all washed out anyway. Not roof bars alone, but a roof rack or rooftop bag will hurt your mpg way more. ... show more

Arrived quickly. I've used it on two separate long trips and it worked wonderfully with no visible damage or wear even with uneaven and bulky contents. Great large size. I was surprised at the size and capacity added with this bag -- we had extra room in the bag both trips. Sturdy zippers and velcro attachments to secure the the lip over the zipper. Six tie down clips/locations and tie downs straps included. The straps are not extremely thick/heavy duty but I found that I did not need heavy duty straps to secure the bag and the included straps worked well for us and were long enough. I was looking at other carrier bags at a much higher price point before I came across this and I am more than satisfied that this bag will suit our needs and hold together for a good long time. Happy I didn't worry about quality and pay more unnecessarily. This one has been great for our needs so far. ... show more

I got it because we were in process of moving. It ended up saving me so much time and gas by adding a nice amount of space to my Nissan. I’m sure I’ll be using in for road trips too! Must have for people who love traveling

    • Don’t expect product support
The bag is nice, but has a few small holes and torn strap in under a year after 3 or 4 uses. Don’t expect to get any product support from this Chinese company because the email address that they advertise doesn’t exist.

I needed a heavy duty bag for my carrier on my car, and i found this one with perfect specs, and it just looked heavy duty. Out of the bag, I was so happy to see how compact this is where it comes with a bag for the bag...really nice. The material is thick, very heavy duty, the flap is double heavy duty and covers the zipper perfectly and Velcro down tight too over it. Very roomy, I put four big boxes in it and still had room to spare. It rained today, took it for a spin, and no a single drop of water made its way in, just perfect. Come with six tie downs, solid belts with double clips and tied down perfectly. This bag was purchased for a family vacation. It took the stress out/off the back/trunk. It is huge held all our luggage family of 5 plus my nieces rollaway. We didn't travel through rain, but heat and you could feel that on the clothes and anything else we pack in there. We did use the support for attacking to our hatch but we also bought bungee straps for additional support. Yes I would recommend and or buy again ... show more
