I read reviews before purchasing this jacket. I agree the zipper is poor quality but not the worst. I ordered this jacket when it was "on sale" so I think it was worth the price. I really wanted to like this coat. It's long, lightweight, and warm - the pockets are my favorite. They are so comfortable and well-placed and warm. The zipper is heavy-duty for sure, but the fabric on the inside keeps getting stuck. And not a little stuck that is annoying - like stuck I can't get in or out of the coat, and now I'm late for work. The bottom one gets stuck, and the top one gets stuck every time I put it on. Hugely frustrating. Also, as mentioned in another review, the hood is way too big and cannot be worn. Edit- the zipper regularly gets stuck on the inside zipper guard. Not a big deal per se but it's not a fluid motion for the first 5-7inches of the zip up. I also noticed the hood does not shape like the CG does (no wire in the faux fur) to keep it from flopping on my head. Again, not a big deal over all because the hood still protects my face the wind and is deep enough to trap the warm air. The pockets are deep enough to store my iPhone, AirPods, multiple chapsticks, tissues, MagSafe wallet, and fitted gloves without falling out or looking bulky because they are deep. I have my pockets stuffed every day to avoid carrying a purse or back pack around. The inside pockets are identical to my CG too just sewn on opposite sides. They work perfectly for simple storage to hide cash and other essentials. I purchased this coat in a size Medium as a temporary replacement of my CG Mystique size XS while pregnant. I travel frequently between the NE and reside in a Midwest state that borders Canada and sits on the Great Lakes. My CG has been a godsend for getting me through the winters since 2020. This coat has been just as warm and as comfortable. The difference is what the shell is made out of. I haven't experienced any saturation in the material while walking outside in wet snow this past week. It stopped the frigid wind gusts too. For me it was worth the $158 price tag. I might snag another one in my pre-pregnancy size as a back up to wear while my CG is sent off for routine maintenance. ... show more

This coat is of great quality, very warm, and feels substantial in hand. You can really tell it's filled with down. I'm going to Michigan next week, so I need to bring a warm piece of clothing, and this coat will definitely be coming with me.
