I purchased this to replace my old glass tube thermometer. Got tired of it floating around. This unit is easy to mount and stays on. I purchased it back in April of 2022 and yesterday the battery quit so, not too bad for battery life (8 months). I used a laser thermometer to compare the temperature and it matched every time. So not bad for the battery life and accuracy. It runs off an inexpensive button battery, CR2032. Easy to replace. The only issue is viewing the display since its transparent, so you can see your fish swim by. You have to get right up to the display or view it at an angle. Worth the price ... show more

This is perfect for the tank . Had a heater failure and the alarm went off at the exact temp set for . Tested water temp for a week just to make sure and it was always exactly right . The adhesive hasn’t failed and I had to move it once and it had just the right amount of give it didn’t try to stick to tank when I removed it . Put in new location and it hasn’t moved ... show more

Had old strip thermometer I couldn't read it. This one is nice. No instructions so when it's time to change the battery I'll have to look it up but that's no big deal.
