  • Heavier than DJI batteries
The positives.... *No compatibility issues...also charges fine in DJI charging station *Better flight time than DJI standard batteries *Good deal compared to DJI batteries The negatives... *More expensive than most other off-brand batteries *This places your drone over 250 grams, which is a bit of a big deal *The heavier battery will slightly decrease your drone's performance Overall....this is a pretty solid battery, especially if the prices comes down a bit more (into the $60-$70 range). Right now (at $79) I'd say it's a little on the high side. ... show more

  • Just like the OEM!
This FirstPower battery works perfect in my DJI Mini 3 Pro. The battery is almost identical to the DJI OEM, the FirstPower has a slight rougher surface, and the color is ever so slightly off. It does fit just as snug in the drone as all my other batteries and works perfect with the DJI bank charger. Checks all the boxes. Keep in mind if you don't have your drone registered with the FAA if you use this battery you will have to. This DJI battery that keeps you are 249grams is the 2453mAh battery that weights 80grams. The FirstPower battery is a 3850mAh weighting in at 138grams, so it will put you way over the 249gram weight limit and you will need to register your drone with the FAA which is all pretty easy. The benefit of this larger battery is more flight time. I'm getting an extra 15 minutes on average of added flight time with this larger battery, so it is worth it for me. ... show more

  • Almost indistinguishable from the official battery
So far so good, been using this battery for a few weeks now in my drone. I'll be honest, pretty impressed so far. First and foremost though, don't expect to get 45+ minutes with any of the intelligent plus batteries. Those times are basically if you have it normal mode hover 50 feet in the air and stay still. No one does that. But I did want to give this battery a fair shake on the first test. Fully charged it and took it out for a flight, incredibly comparable to the factory original battery. I got 35 minutes easy with a mixture of sport and normal mode, long distance, and high altitude. Almost identical with what I would get from the original battery of the same caliber. Then I fully charged it and waited two weeks. The factory battery is supposed to power down to 50% and hold for a long duration, I don't think this lost any charge at all in that two week timeframe (even my factory originals dropped 1-2 bars). I was skeptical with the indicator, so tested it again. Got 30 minutes with an almost identical mixture of flying. Very good for what you get. It looks completely identical to the factory original (AA battery for scale). It's listed slightly cheaper than the factory original, but it does seem to go on sale often. Worth it to me, save yourself a little money by going this route. ... show more

  • Disappointing Experience, Placing my License and Public Safety in Jeopardy
When I stumbled upon the FirstPower Mini 3 Pro Battery promising an extra boost of flight time for my drone, I was thrilled at the prospect of extended aerial adventures. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment as I encountered numerous issues with this product. Initially, I was impressed by the advertised additional flight time, and I eagerly marked the battery to distinguish it from my other drone batteries. Yet, my enthusiasm waned when I attempted to update the firmware as required by both my drone replacement insurance and FAA regulations. Despite multiple attempts, the firmware update consistently failed to complete when the FirstPower battery was installed. This issue was unique to the FirstPower battery, as my OEM batteries updated without a hitch. Consequently, I found myself in a predicament where I couldn't use the FirstPower battery without taking a serious chance. If my drone caused any damage, and I was discovered to have been flying without the requisite firmware updates installed, I risked financial ruin for my family and severe penalties from regulatory authorities. Furthermore, considering the MINOR financial savings offered by the FirstPower battery compared to DJI's extended battery, the potential risks and inconveniences associated with this product far outweighed any cost benefits. The peace of mind and reliability offered by OEM batteries far surpassed the uncertainty posed by the FirstPower battery that would not update. Moreover, even if I had managed to update the firmware successfully, another drawback surfaced—the additional weight of the FirstPower battery pushed my drone over the 250-gram threshold, necessitating registration in a higher weight category. While this wasn't a concern for me personally, having already registered my drone, it could be a deterrent for those drawn to sub-250-gram drones for their convenience and regulatory exemptions. My experience with the FirstPower Mini 3 Pro Battery was deeply disappointing. While the prospect of extended flight time initially intrigued me, the inability to update the firmware and the associated risks and inconveniences rendered this product unfit for use. Ultimately, I will be investing in DJI's extended battery, as the additional range it offers is now a priority for me. ... show more

  • FirstPower Plus battery for DJI Mini 3 Pro
The battery arrived in a sturdy brown box. Out of the box, the battery looked very similar to my genuine DJI batteries. The size and dimensions were exactly the same. The labels of course was different. The weight was different too. My DJI "Regular" battery was 80g. This "Plus" battery weighted about 136.6 grams. Now the flight time. DJI claimed that its "Regular" battery is 34 min and its Plus battery is 47 min. The real world flight times, of course, are usually much shorter than these numbers. I did a side-by-side test with fully charged batteries. With my typical flight styles (which are mostly for low speed photography and not high speed racing), my "Regular" DJI battery lasted 20 min 12 sec, and this "Plus" battery lasted about 30 min 1 sec. Overall I think this battery performed as good as DJI batteries. ... show more
