  • UPDATED: Incredible Value and Excellent Performance
UPDATE: Full Disclosure-testing done using Nikon D780 "Hybrid" DSLR using Nikon OEM EN-EL15a, EN-EL15b, EN-EL15c and First Power EN-EL15 3rd party batteries. FirstPower reached out after my first review and 100% standing by their products, they sent a complete new package to replace 1 defective battery out of the 2 pack + charger I originally ordered (see original review below). Mind you, I did not ask for a replacement as I was satisfied with my 1 good battery at this price point. KUDOS FIRSTPOWER! So curious, I decided to grab a handful the ten EN-EL15 series batteries accumulated since buying a Nikon D750 in 2015 to compare against the FirstPower, replacement batteries over a few days of shooting and video recording events. My original & oldest EN-EL15's may be toast as they were good for probably an average of 1000 +/- 100 shots (also depends on if using a zoom lens and zooming in and out). My more recently accumulated EN-EL15b's & c's were good for 1900-2230 shots using prime lenses, no flash. I only tested one of the brand new, FirstPower EN-EL15's fully charged using their provided charger and to my surprise, I was able to click off 2193 shots using a prime lens and no flash! That's much better than the 75% of OEM battery shot count in my unscientific review below. This means that in my use, a brand new, fully charged FirstPower EN-EL15 lasted longer than my older, Nikon, OEM EN-EL15 and 15a's, and lasted as long as my OEM EN-EL15b's and c's. FYI; the earlier Nikon EN-EL15's are 1900mAh and the EN-EL15c's are 2280mAh. The FirstPower EN-EL15 is listed at 2300mAh. If I remember, I'll post another update after I've cycled the FirstPower replacement EN-EL15's through a few charge cycles to see if they last as long as when brand new. So my overall impressions are that 1) FirstPower fully backs their product and 2) a brand new, fully charged FirstPower EN-EL15 replacement battery lasts as long as my Nikon EN-EL15b and EN-EL15c batteries that are not brand new! Definitely satisfied, especially at this price point! ORIGINAL REVIEW: ("Budget Batteries, Budget Performance"), One of the two EN-EL15 batteries works fine and seems to hold a charge and last about 75% as long as Nikon OEM batteries; however the other unit failed after initial charge and use. It would not charge back up using the battery charger included not my Nikon battery charger. At least I still use the dual battery charger to charge up multiple, 3rd party batteries at once. I'll keep charging Nikon OEM batteries using the Nikon OEM charger. As an event shooter, I go through a ton of batteries covering a single event so always have 4 to 6 on hand! ... show more

  • YES! Nikon Zf owners rejoice!
So I purchased two Nikon zf last year when the cameras first hit the street. I put off buying a second set of batteries because only genuine batteries worked and they are expensive in my opinion and I haven't truly needed a second set. So far I have never actually drained a battery on a photo shoot so far. But I didn't come for the batteries, I wanted to save wear and tear on the usb-c connection and decided to go for an external charger. So many of these chargers come with batteries that I thought I would research if any third party batteries worked with the Zf now that some months have passed. Well this brand came up as something that works with the Zf. So someone figured how to get around this problem. I got the charger that I wanted with bonus batteries. The batteries that came with this charger took about 45 min to charge up. I put them in my Zf and they work fine. I just put my original Nikon batteries in and they are charging up. There is no charge percentage indicator. It's super basic. When you plug the unit in, both LEDs are green and turn red when you insert a battery, they turn green again when the charge is done. It comes with a little usb-c cable and that's it. I use my own cable. Its 7-25-2024 as I write this, any issues I will update. No news is good news. So here's how I will use these, genuine batteries only for the shoot, third party only used if original is depleted. Hey better safe than sorry. ... show more

  • Bad Cable
My second set of FirstPower EN-EL15 /EL15a/EL15b/EL15c Batteries 2-Pack and USB Dual Charger . I had bought the first set about three years ago. No issues charging and found them as a great backup. However, one of the batteries died about a few days before an event. I decided to go with First Power again since I had a greater success with their batteries [Canon/Nikon]. I was disappointed that included USB-C cable is a bit wonky.I had to jiggle it a few times before the charging light came on. After testing a few other cables on hand I realized this might have been one that flew under the radar . ... show more

  • They arrive with no charge otherwise perfect
They arrive with no charge is the only negative I can say. I really like the dual usb input. Micro type & "C" type USB input jacks for power. Green lights for charge complete makes it idiot proof. Very compact size.

  • Works in Zf, doesn't seem to last as long
- Works in Z f on firmware 1.20 - Seems to have less capacity, no hard evidence to support this - cell weight is definitely less than genuine nikon - value is great and charger is good

  • Good enough as compared to orignal Nikon batteries
This is third time I purchased this name brand battery set. I have been satisfied with the performance per capacity so far. The last purchase included a battery which had a shorter life as compared to the others I have been using by about a third. I wrote a review of such anomally, and was soon received customer support email which asked me about the experience. The company sent me out a replacement battery. The replacement battery functionas as others that I have had. The battery in my experience takes about 80-90% of the original Nikon battery in taking pictures. I have tested these batteries on D7200, D810, and Z7 camera's and it seems to perform as expected. Using the included charger it takes about 2 hours to fully charge according to the charge indicator. Using the Nikon charger the charging takes less than hour for similar charge requirement. Again, I am satisfied with the performance and the customer support. The batteries are good value and performance for the money parid. ... show more
