  • Adequately sturdy
This product is a fairly well constructed synthetic woven log carrier with webbing straps. It might not hold up to heavy wood moving as well, but is a very convenient way to get logs in the house without precariously stacking them in your arms. The color is neutral and goes fairly well anywhere. A heavy duck is preferred but the heavy fabric is more than up to the task of feeding the fire. ... show more

  • Useful, Sturdy Carrier
I am very pleased with the Syntrific Canvas Firewood Carrier, which is sturdy enough to hold a good armful of small logs or piles of small brush during an outdoor clean-up. The tote is easy to lay flat to load, then pick up with the strong nylon straps, connected at the top with velcro and an attached canvas piece for comfort . There is also a velcro strap with metal loops, which acts to close the tote and secure the contents from falling out (although sides obviously remain open). It seems to hold quite a bit of weight, limited by what I can carry, and looks attractive enough to leave next to a fireplace. I've seen this item as part of a combo package with a log splitter, but I ordered separately and can't speak to any of the other items. ... show more

  • Very handy
We have several of these as we go through a lot of wood in the cold months and these make it so much easier to bring wood in from the racks. I can load 8 or so large logs in one of these and carry one each hand as opposed to funding around trying to carry a few logs at a time in my arms. This is a nice one, not as heavy duty as some we have, but definitely not the worst. I would guess that we will get several seasons out of this carrier without issue, so the price I feel is justified and I would recommend. ... show more

  • Yup - that's what it is
The "Syntrific Canvas Firewood Carrier" is in fact a synthetic canvas firewood carrier. It does what it's supposed to do, but lacks the side flaps found on some carriers to hold wood in place. Further, the synthetic canvas is pretty stiff - perhaps it will break in over time. Still, it is a good size and holds a good amount of wood to bring in for your wood stove or fireplace. It's not a precision tool....its got a job to do and it does just that. ... show more

  • Simple and functional. My favorite kind of tool!
Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review. Lately I have been removing some large limbs and a few trees from my property that were allowed to get way out of control by the previous owners. It's a lot of work but the upside is that I am accumulating future firewood (I am letting it cure a bit). Prior to getting this I was cutting up limbs into logs and then putting them in buckets to take them up the stairs in my back yard (My house is terraced) to stack them in the old exterior boiler room that we use for garden tools as our house was upgraded to central heat and air and an instant water heater a long time ago and no longer has a big boiler in the cement room away from our house. Using the buckets worked but it was not efficient. This waxed canvas carrier is wonderful. It is simple. Lays out flat to load up and then you pick up the handles and away you go. It does have a strap to secure the canvas and a handle cover with snaps to join the two handles. But even if you don't use them it works beautifully to carry up a good quantity of wood. This is a simple and effective tool. The kind that does a job very well and is well made. I am definitely glad I have it! When this one wears out (probably in several years) I will get another just like it. Totally recommend this one. ... show more

  • Nicely made, medium duty, needs some improvement.
This is a nice, useful wood tote. Only 4 stars because to my reckoning the securing strap is about 18" too short. when loaded so that the two handles still meet to allow a good one handed carry, the securing strap is useless. When I find the time I will increase the strap length or replace the strap. As mentioned I would class this as medium duty. Strap issue aside, it still does a good job and allows one handed carry, which for me is a big improvement on my prior wood transfer process. This item fully loaded supplies my wood cradle by the fireplace with a full load. ... show more

  • Review is just for the bag
I only ordered the bag, not the whole log splitting kit. I am only reviewing the bag, which is a heavy duty and nicely made. Will make it easier and less cumbersome to haul logs.

  • Very basic wood tote bag (tote only review)
TLDR; it's functional (the tote) and does what it's supposed to I did not receive any other items (log splitter/gloves) I got this to carry small amounts of wood from my storage area to my firepit. This is not waxed canvas or leather; it is woven poly, and it is a very basic polyester sling-style tote. This is stored in my garage when not in active use, so the look/attractiveness of this was not a consideration for me. I don't think my logs are especially large, but I can get eight pieces (4"x4"x16") in this and still close the handles enough to carry. From the weight perspective, the wood is white oak and was easily managed with the tote. In my use, I am not leveraging the "d" ring fastener, nor do I find the hook-and-loop on the handle particularly useful, YMMV. I do not store the wood in a tote; I am moving from point A to B and then taking it out. I'll have to update my review on durability if there are any issues if the next few months. Yes, I would recommend this tote so long as you get it for ~$10. Paying more than that is overpaying, and better and more attractive waxed canvas options exist at only a slightly increased cost. ... show more
