It arrived a day ahead of expected in a large box. Everything was well protected and after careful unwrapping nothing was found to be either damaged or missing. I recommend checking a lot otherwise it could be very frustrating if half way through the build something is either found to be damaged or missing. I used the large cardboard box as a mat upon which to build it placing the round table top upside down as recommended in the instructions. I then followed the instructions joining all the sides together but very loosely. Despite the instructions saying tighten the nuts and bolts once the sides were together I then placed the sides as per instructions on the upturned top. By being loose this made it easier to ensure easy attachment to the top. With the door CLOSED I then firstly tightened the sides to the top before tightening the side panels, always tightening on an opposite basis to ensure better alignment. After attaching the gas canister holder, do make sure you fit it the correct way around as detailed in the clear instructions I then with the help of my partner turned the table over ( only time you need two people ) Installed the burner, ignition battery. BEFORE adding the glass ( I used blue glass from a previous burner ) make sure the burner lights otherwise if for whatever reason you need to check the burner it will be a lot easier. I added the glass slowly ensuring the ignition area was clear as recommended in the instructions. The heat given off was good and we’ve invested in a glass screen to protect the flame from the wind which is yet to arrive Delighted with our new fire pit. It looks great, is well made and easy to build. I prefer my blue fire glass to the clear glass but that’s just personal preference. The cover is good and I’ll place a couple of the polystyrene blocks that was used in packing to place under the cover to allow air circulation. Delighted with my purchase. The packaging was quite good and the contents were unharmed even though the outside box showed a fair amount of wear and tear from shipping. The contents were neatly organized in several boxes with adequate protection inside. The included instructions were fairly easy to follow. The fastening hardware was clearly labeled and contained spares. I used the packaging for the table top to protect my floor and the table during assembly (it was raining and I assembled the table inside). I built up the sides and then assembled them to the top while it was inverted. Then I added the propane tank tray. At this point the table was still light enough to pick up and carry sideways out through a slide glass door. Once it was in the location I intended for it, I added the final piece with the burners and control on top (no fasteners are required.) I installed my propane tank and confirmed operation before pouring the glass beads in. I then added the top which conceals the beads and forms a complete table. It looks and performs very well. I ended up liking this enough that I bought a second one. The only issue on the second one was that the fire beads were missing. I called customer service, who answered immediately, and a package of glass beads was immediately shipped to me. Great all around experience. ... show more

I noticed on other reviews, they had difficulty putting the table together. It does take two people but the process was pretty clear. The table is sturdy and looks amazing. Others mentioned they had trouble with open/closing the door. There is a trick to it but once you get the trick, there is no problems. The heat it produces is just enough, I'm sure I will be adding a tall heater to compliment the heat from the table. I'm looking forward to a nice fall sitting out at the table. ... show more

First of all, our impressions are extremely positive. Delivery came two days earlier than the initial range of time had expired; the packaging was adequate for safe passage of an 86-pound metal firepit from California to New York; all parts and accessories were present and accounted for; the assembly was easy and followed sufficient instructions; generally, there were no surprises. And most importantly, the unit performed perfectly at first fire-up. Leading to no damage at all was the discovery of a four-inch-by-two- inch shipping gash in one corner of the outer cardboard packaging. The secondary, internal cardboard packaging protected all contents, and that outer damage meant nothing in the end. A previous customer added wheels to the legs with apparent success. I tried to do the same, but found the unit's plastic feet that adorn each leg not sufficiently strong enough to support that owner-modification. If you are inclined to make such a change, think it through; you might find the effort ill-advised. I found the non-battery flame ignition button, that was expected to enhance my unit, problematic. Occasional success in lighting the flame caused frustration and I complained to the manufacturer. The response was immediate, understanding, and most eager to please. We now have the replacement battery-powered ignition button that provides instantaneous flame thanks to the manufacturer's quick response to the complaint. This fire table was easy to assemble. Actually, my 14 year old daughter did most of the work! It's sturdy, great-looking and easy to use and enjoy! We love that you can enjoy a fire while still having the functionality of a table. We've converted a rarely used section of our yard into an often-used gathering place for family and friends. And we love that we can simply turn it off with no messy clean-up. Don't hesitate to but it, if it ever becomes available again! ... show more
