I bought this case for my new Fire HD 10 13th generation after the one I originally purchased (and returned) failed to invoke the auto wake and sleep modes when it was opened or closed. Although it was more expensive, I purchased this one because I've successfully protected devices with Fintie cases in the past. I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and haven't had any negative experiences. I expect it to hold up as well as the other Fintie cases I've owned. It works: - My 10' Kindle slid into the case easily, and the hook and loop fastening keeps it firmly in place. - The camera and button openings, including the one for the charger, are properly placed. - It has a magnetic strip that works every time with the Kindle's auto wake and sleep function. - At 8.5 ounces, it is not a lightweight (the one I returned was heavier), but It is sturdy and rigid enough to reassure me that when I inevitably drop my Kindle, it will survive undamaged. - It's attractive. the pattern is printed properly and the colors are clear. - There are no manufacturing defects. I noticed no one else reviewed the Nuggs so I got it without knowing for sure how the color or pattern would turn out. It looks like the picture and color is nice. I don't like the one nugget that just sort of look like regular a blob instead of a dino but oh well. The downsides: the cover is very thick and once you start to bend it, the creases hold and are rigid. The case is very hard to stand up. The case cover tucks in and wants to fall backwards unless you get it just right. It's possible to work around but is irritating. The holes mostly line up but the speaker holes don't match up in quantity or placement. It's very thick and adds a bit of weight to the device. Overall it seems sturdy and is cute. Such an excellent assortment of colors and patterns it was difficult to choose one. The case fits perfectly allowing access to the buttons, charging, microphone and speakers. Holds the tablet securely. The "put tablet to sleep" when the cover closes is a plus. Well made. The case I purchased for my old tablet still looks brand new even after that tablet died from years of service.
