I got these initially to work on my finger strength for rock climbing, and strengthen my wrist as well to alleviate overall soreness and aching. They come in various strengths, which are all differentiated by color. The white (the lightest) is pretty easy, but they progressively get harder and challenge your muscle growth! I've definitely seen a difference with my vascularity with these, they make the veins in my forearms pop like no other after weeks of consistent use! I do have small hands, so the finger holes fit me rather well, but if you have bigger hands/thicker fingers, I can possibly see this becoming an issue. However, the higher up the rings fit on your fingers, the more strength you'll have to summon to stretch them out, so if you're looking for more of a challenge, this would still be a great option. When I got these it was the first time I had ever used this type of apparatus. I moved through the first 2 level strength bands very quick. Used the 3rd level for a couple weeks, until one broke and I was forced to go up to the 4th (13.2lb.) Bands. Overall I am very pleased and can really tell the difference. I've had those cheap extenders that come in green/blue/orange, and I've had the Portholic all black ones. The black ones were better quality and strength than the colored ones, but I still ended up snapping the level 4 after 2 months. I just bought these, so I can't say how durable they are, but it's a much better workout. I get a much stronger burn and pump from these than any other extender. My only complaint is how tight the holes are for your fingers. It's as if it was designed for Asian women. No matter, they come in pairs so even thought it takes time getting on and off, you can have one on each hand for the duration of the workout and it actually saves time. Hoping they don't snap like the cheaper options. We'll see. ... show more

Great product it comes with multiple levels that help strengthen your forearm. Honestly Level 1 and Level 2 are not easy to begin with but doing this definitely seemed to help strengthen my forearm and improved my grip strength as an added bonus.

    • Relives back of hand and wrist pain!
Have been using 3 times a week for about two months. First week I used level 2 the switched to the level 3. All still have resistance and haven't broken one yet. I have a desk job and it took about 3 to 4 weeks to Lessen the back of hand pain and wrist pain from using a mouse and keyboard all day. I will continue to use them 2 to 3 times a week to keep pain away. Edit as of 5/11/23 the level 3 extensors are tearing. Going to contact for warranty. They still did help with back of hand and wrist pain. ... show more

    • Try this before carpal tunnel release surgery!
Worked great for hand pain! Try this before you have surgery. Corrects muscle imbalance which causes pain in the thumb joint in your hand. Highly recommend for mechanics and guitarists!
