Features

  • CLEAN AND GREEN: The FH255 is powered by clean electricity, reducing the harmful environmental effects and cost of traditional heaters that use natural gas or propane. Our pumps instead move heat from the air into the water, which saves you money and is a breeze to maintain
  • COMPATIBLE WITH: In ground pools up to 10,000 gallons and above ground pools up to 21 foot round or 15 by 30 foot oval. As with all heat pumps, we recommend using in a humid climate down to 50 degrees for best performance. Dry climates are better served by a traditional gas heater
  • HIGH EFFICIENCY: Utilizing high-pressure differential compressors and titanium heat exchangers, FibroPool heat pumps are meticulously designed to be the most energy efficient in their class. You can rest comfortably knowing your family will enjoy years of late season swimming without feeling a squeeze on your electric bill
  • RUGGED DESIGN: Enamel-coated steel chassis is designed to withstand outdoor elements season after season. Slim profile measures just 16"x40"x24", offering a wide range of mounting options. Conveniently installs with included 1 1/2 inch compression fittings
  • EASY OPERATION: Digital control panel with an easy-to-read display offers convenient temperature setting and monitoring. Optional extension cable allows you to mount the control panel in a location that works best for you

  • Arrived without a scratch in 4 days...Update 2023
Took 4 days to arrive and not a scratch on it. All of the documentation was included. It also included 4 rubber vibration dampers for mounting. I used 5/16” lag bolts with fender washers to attached it to a 2” x 24” x 48” Ultralight equipment pad with two 4” x 4” x 26” posts laid on there sides and sunken in a crushed stone base. My heater is bonded with the filter pump. Using a 30 amp two pole GFCI with 10 ga wire. Could use 20 amp with 12 ga if you are located closer to your panel...mine is 80 ft away. I’ll be getting the install done this week and will fire it up after I open my pool. My pool is kidney shape 15,000 gallon. Just want to heat it from upper 70’s to 83 or so. I will be using a pool cover at night. UPDATE 7/1/20: heater is working great, was able to heat water to 84 deg from 77 in one day. Heater runs quiet and simple to operate. Very happy with my purchase. Update 2023: worked great summer of 2022, looking to use with a solar pool heater due to increased utility costs this year. The Fibropool heater still held up great after several Buffalo winters, no damage or freon leaks. Turns on and shuts off automatically depending on temperature setting and water flow. I would buy it again. ... show more

  • Season One Verdict: Three and Eight Forths stars!!
First season almost done, and it has worked great. I keep a solar cover on when not swimming and live in SW Ohio. I have a 32x16 above ground pool that gets sun from ~10:30am until ~6:30pm. The pool is just under 15k gallons. This unit easily handles the pool, and at times I have accidentally let the pool get too warm when a hot sunny day added to previous day's heat pump heating. It runs really quiet, and I haven't noticed any extremely hateful electric bills, but I use a lot of power. When I bought it, I didn't know (nor did anything on Amazon say so) it could do heat pump heat, additional electric coil heating and it can cool water too. I don't understand why for items in this price range they don't hire someone to coherently describe the full list of features in English. I would have bought weeks earlier had I not spent a lot of time reading comments and questions on multiple listings of this unit trying to figure out what exactly I would be buying. With heat pump only it seems to add 2 degrees F to the water as it flows through when the water is between 78 and 90 (my only testing so far). If you add the auxiliary electric heat it adds another degree. Cooling via the pump is one to two degrees down. Only downsides so far are: 1. The control head is silly. Can't tell in/out temps when it is off, can't adjust parameters when it is running. I am not sure if I can set it to run just during the day without buying an external timer. The interface purposely avoid the convenience of written language in favor of mostly vague symbology. I wish the instructions were on the unit, because I have to keep track of the manual. 2. The screws on the unit are made of very cheap metal and some of the holes don't line up great. Had a couple strip, but no big deal. Otherwise it is built well. ... show more

  • Finally warm water!
This is a pretty awesome unit. It looks good and works like a dream. My husband is an electrician, so he was able to do all of the install himself. He added power to the outside of the house, which made it easier to plug in the pool pump as well. He was able to have this up and running in one day, including all of the electrical work. He used cinder blocks and plywood to make a platform for both this heater and the pool pump. He covered it with tarp to keep the wood from getting wet. This pool heater runs pretty quietly- not any louder than the pool pump. I have to actually look to see if it is running. It is certainly not disruptive to the pool experience. The pump and heater are right outside out bedroom window and they are quiet enough that I can't hear them over the bedroom fan even with the window open. The heater does exactly what it is intended to do- heat the pool water! The pool water started at 65 degrees at about 7:00 p.m. In the morning, the pool was 75- when the outdoor temperature was only about 55 degrees. So not only did it keep the water from cooling, it increased about 10 degrees. The pool was a perfect 82 by afternoon. It is automatically set at 82 but you can adjust that. It's kept the pool at a perfect temp, as long as we've had the pump running. We did have an issue with the pump getting clogged with pine needles, and had the pump off for almost 2 days. The water was back down to 68 (no pump=no water heater running), but as soon as we got the situation fixed, the pool was right back up to 82 within a day. We live in the Pacific Northwest, so our "summer" doesn't come until mid July, and even then we get pretty chilly night temperatures. We have opened the pool weeks before we'd have been able to get it in it in the past. Even on hot summer days the temp only got up to about 78 (due to trees in the yard). It's like a dream come true to have warm water so early and so consistently! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the shipping condition. The heater was on a piece of wood with a cardboard box basically slid over the top. There was no styrofoam or any protection between the box and the heater. It looked like the box had been beaten up quite a bit and was in pretty rough shape. Upon unboxing, the heater has a few small dents, and one larger one. The heater box is dented in right at the control panel- so that the control panel is pushed in slightly. The control panel appears to be unaffected- it is running fine. Hopefully the dents are more cosmetic than anything. It would be great if the seller made the box slightly larger and included some sort of padding to keep the heater from being damaged in transit. This is a pretty expensive, large, and heavy item and would have been difficult to return if it had suffered critical damage in transit. ... show more

  • Great purchase for the price!
I was sceptical on if this heat pump was the right size for my pool but after my purchase and easy to install I am very pleased with the unit and it's performance. My pool is 10,000 gal inground pool. Being in the month of May and already swimming has made this purchase worth wild. It is quiet while it runs and has my water temp at 86 degrees. Being a heat pump it does take time for the temp to rise but that is because of our Ohio weather. As for delivery, it went as planned. Unit was in perfect shape with no complaints. Overall purchase definitely fit what I was looking for. Price, delivery, install and performance all top notch. ... show more
