This was a pretty simple build. I just unfolded it in a few areas and it locked in place. And a few screws and that’s it! Very easy! I use this at my front door when guests come in, and it’s perfect for the area! The flat top helps this not just look like a “shoe rack”… I just use the top for decor and it works perfect with the surrounds around the door! It comes all folded up and it was so easy to set up you don’t even need the directions. Put it by my front door with shoes on bottom and a basket on top for keys and sunglasses. Looks so much better!

Functional, decent looking shelf that's quick and easy to build. Instructions were easy to follow and the build took less than 15 mins. First and foremost- all the holes lined up! Always a plus. I really wish they would've made the screws a darker color (like the hinges) instead of stand-out-silver, but it's a shoe rack and I guess it won't be getting inspected too closely. Some of the seams at the hinges don't line up perfectly but nothing major. Fits nicely at the landing of my stairs and works well as a board game shelf too (nothing too heavy though). About what I expect of a shelf at this price ($24 as of this writing) - any higher and I'd knock another star off. ... show more

For the quality of this rack, I would have expected it to cost half of what it sells for. My first impression: cheaply made, low quality...junk. The shelf joints don't line-up in the middle where they fold, the legs don't fold out straight, the screws are visible (color wise), the wood top is damaged. Look at my photos and you will see what the rack is all about. Other than the above issues.... It was easy to put together. It took me about 15 minutes(ish). Now that it it together, it is in the garage holding a few pairs of shoes. My wife wanted the rack in the garage and this one was to replace a smaller 2-shelf unit that we outgrew long ago. If this rack was going to be used inside the house, I would have returned it due to the quality and price point. Since it was intended to use in the garage and it won't be seen by guests.....I'll keep it. ... show more

Screwing this together by hand I had the wood split in 2 places - I was able to make it work but the quality of materials isn’t the best.
