  • Valuable
Definitely useful. This device is my 4th Wifi device for hackintosh. Every device has different problem and different issue. But this one when I install, it works great. If you buy for hackintosh, please make sure you don’t turn off original Bluetooth. You can turn off original Wi-Fi. Then use this device without any problem. It has a very high Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal. ... show more

  • Adds WiFi and Bluetooth to your Hackintosh
Adds Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability to a hack. Works with macOS out of the box which is beautiful. No problems. The only quirk with this thing is the internal usb connector for Bluetooth can be a bit noisy, so it may automatically awaken your system when you try to suspend it into s3 sleep. So to ensure your hack can sleep without automatically waking up, you will have to ensure to configure the USB port that connector is attached to as ‘Internal’ in your hack’s USB SSDT or kext. This way the system will stay asleep without automatically awakening. This is for macOS. Although it does work in windows, it has been outclassed in my view by intel’s Wi-Fi 6 and 6e implementations (ax200 and ax210). So I wouldn’t recommend even bothering to install the drivers on windows as you’re going to get better range and performance with the intel solution, especially for Bluetooth. This thing’s Bluetooth performance can be sketchy. Another thing: macOS is quirky in that airplay seems to get disabled if just an Ethernet adapter (but no Wi-Fi card) is hooked up. If you add this to your system, even if you disable Wi-Fi, just the presence of this thing will allow airplay to work over Ethernet. I’ve seen some people complain about aquantia 10gbps adapters, in that those adapters don’t work with airplay. They do! I can confirm! The problem is: macOS for whatever reason disables airplay if a Wi-Fi card is not installed. Install this thing and boom airplay will work! ... show more

  • Poor Bluetooth performance, even with an external antenna
Your mileage may vary, but I had poor luck with this card and Bluetooth. The wireless performance was fine. With Bluetooth, with the CPU tower less than 5 feet from a Magic Trackpad, I got no signal and couldn't get a connection. I tried pointing the antennas all different ways, no dice. Then I read that some folks had luck with external antennas. I purchased Bingfu external antennas (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TT4DCPR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and then also needed an adapter (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z34LCKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I found a diagram of the fenvi T919 that showed that the second-from-top antenna was the Bluetooth antenna. Experimentally, this seems to be true... I disconnected all the antennas, and tried them one by one, and that one was the only one that made a difference in Bluetooth signal. With the Bingfu external antenna placed less than 2 feet from the Magic Trackpad, I got at best -71 dBm. It was at least usable now. Then I found another product (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H57Q1B1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which is a more attractive desktop solution. I hoped the signal would be better, but it was about the same. Finally, I ordered a fenvi HB1200 card. With this card, with the antennas angled 45 degrees from the vertical and away from each other, I get -54 dBm Bluetooth signal with the Magic Trackpad. That led me to conclude that the fv-T919, at least the particular card I had, was either defective or having some bad interaction with my hardware (Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi motherboard). I have a hardwired Ethernet cable going to this PC, so I only needed Wifi for AirDrop, etc. so I don't care too much about the loss in wireless speed. In short, maybe you'll have a better experience but I can't recommend this card myself. I am very satisfied with its cheaper cousin, the fv-HB1200. ... show more

  • BE AWARE - NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GIGABYTE Z390 MOBO
GUYS BE AWARE...!! THIS WIFI/BT CARD CARD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GIGABYTE Z390 MOTHERBOARDS. THIS CARD CAUSE POWER ISSUES. (GENTLY FENVI TEAM REFUND ME. THEY ARE VERY COOL GUYS) INSTEAD OF THIS I TRY TO USE AND ORDER A fenvi fv-hb1200. I SEE THAT LOTS OF USERS CHANGE TO THIS ONE AND THE SYSTEM HAS NO PROBLEM. I GIVE 3 STARS FOR THE ASSISTANCE BY FENVI TEAM. THANKS This is my review about T919. Hi I am writing here because this object is not compatible with my system and causes errors in power supply. I bought the item in December and it arrived after about a month. After 18 days I got my new Gigabyte Z390 motherboard. Aorus z390 Pro. As soon as I installed the card I started having power problems. Both on windows and on MacOS. When the card is inserted, the PC does not start, after reset of CMOS, it restarts but does not turn off by entering loopboot. If I remove the card all regular. Reading the description you say that the card is compatible with my motherboard but it is not so. The card does not work and the pc has power problems. Believing that the problem was due to the motherboard I replaced this by waiting for over 1 month due to coronavirus but nothing to do even with this new one there is the same problem. At this point I deduce that the problem is precisely of the card and reading numerous forums and also the reviews of some users on amazon, I can see that other users have the same identical problem as mine. ... show more
