Beautiful casual dinnerware

I like them and bought more
These are nice looking plates. I like that none are exactly alike but close enough to match. Reminds me of the antique plates and stoneware my parents used to collect. d that lipped plates are making a comeback (??) and have a place in some dining experiences.) They say Dishwasher Safe, so in they go. Not the best of starts, but while taking them out of the dishwasher two of the dishes collided together and each chipped on the lip. The other plates are fine and the surface of each plate suffered no damage from the dishwasher. They have been in the dishwasher a dozen times now and look the same as when new. Cutting meat on a cold plate made no marks in the glaze and the same was true for a warm/hot plate just out of the microwave. They have been in the microwave at least a dozen times without breaking or without surface damage from sharp knives. The center of the plates is raised, convex, and I am not sure why. (See the pic with milk poured into it.) The lipped plates I found online were all flat; perhaps, it is that these plates are handmade? While I prefer a flat or slight bowl-shaped plate, there are times when it’s better to have the juices or liquids of a portion flow away from the other portions and not mess with the taste of either. (I think of the beets, and ensuing juice, my mother used to put on our plates.) The bottoms are nice with plenty of support. I prefer the nine-inch size for the simpler or quick meals my wife and I have alone, rather than the larger plates suited for special-occasion meals. The size also make sense for breakfasts and lunches. But as dessert plates…that’s a lot of dessert! I do like these plates in spite of the damaging collision and will buy a set. My rating is a 4.5 for the damage, but for the benefit of doubt of the chipping, I will go with five stars.

beautiful very rustic and antique look
These dishes are the perfect size I love the edge on them for sauce or spaghetti. They look a lot like" Hearth and Home" dishes (a very nice Target brand!). I have washed them in the dishwasher with no problems. This set doesn't appear to be different colors like some reviews have stated and I probab
ly wouldn't mind just makes them more like unique pottery. I'm sure they are breakable they are ceramic so of course it's inevitable, but they haven't broken on me yet just using them like usual, placing them in the sink and dishwasher. I think for this set the price is fair, my kids have even mentioned how pretty and cool they are.

Looks great and easy to clean
These sturdy black ceramic salad plates are an excellent choice. The size provides plenty of space to serve a variety of salads, but only for starter portions - this is not suitable for large salads, while the matte textured finish is both attractive and practical. They're well-balanced so they don't
feel too heavy in your hand when you move them around on the table. They have enough weight to help keep food where it belongs, but they won't chip or break easily like some plastic or glass plates can. Cleaning up after meals is a breeze as these plates are dishwasher safe.

Nice plates for everyday use or entertaining if you don't mind 1 odd one
I ordered the "light steel blue" set. I really like these plates and I understand that due to the handmade quality there are variations to be expected. However, if you look at my photo, it appears I received 1 quartz grey and the remaining are light steel blue (these 3 are much lighter and blue than
the one that is more grey). I wouldn't mind if they were all different, rather than 3 alike, and 1 oddball. They are well made and look like someone made these in an art studio. I will still use them, but for informal entertaining rather than more of a dinner party.

Love the design, but not very consistent color or texture

Very nice and sturdy dessert plates. They clean up well and may be small, but you are still able to fit quite a bit on them. They nest inside each other, which is a plus for storing away.

Lovely blue glazed plates
Beautiful plates. The size is just right. I wanted smaller plates to replace a few that have developed dings and chips over the years. These are a gorgeous rustic grey-blue glaze that shows a darker warm deep toned glaze underneath. The glaze isn't exactly uniform and perfect which is the nature of a
handmade glazed piece of pottery. To me that is part of their beauty. They are just lovely and they fit my taste very well. I wanted a smaller plate to help me keep my meal portions reasonable. The sizes seem to be very uniform and they stack nicely. I love that the rim comes up just enough to hold any sauce or dressing nicely. These plates are a welcome addition to my kitchen and the old plates have been given a fitting funeral. These arrived in a protective Styrofoam sandwich with a sheet of thick foam between each plate…all in a box they wouldn’t rattle around in. There should be no issues with breakage in shipping. With no reason to mark these as less than absolutely wonderful I recommend them to anyone who loves this pottery style of dishware.

High quality plates with modern stoneware vibes
I have boring white plates and was in search for something more modern to serve my meals. These plates are solid and heavy - which I prefer. The glaze is shiny and thick. But what I like the most is the organic hand made look of the dishes. There are uneven natural curves, slight speckles of color co
