  • Works Great
Just got around to testing it, I plugged in my USB 3.1 Gen 2 nvme m.2 drive into it, transferred 1.7GB file in a few secs at 450MB/s (give or take), love it. Recommend it for anyone who needs high speed front ports and has Gen2 header on there motherboard.

  • THIS WORKS 100% But it was difficult at first... (MUST READ IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS)
((READ THE BOTTOM IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS)) Ok so first of all it is a little expensive. $41 but then again, you get 1 USB Type C Port, 2 USB Charging ports and 3 USB 3.1 ports (regular data and charging) 2nd of all, troubleshooting to get everything working was HELL. Ok so I plugged everything correctly, the Sata power cable, and the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Header cable to the motherboard just how it says on the instruction manual and then turned everything on... so at first only the USB TYPE C port was working, I connected my Iphone to it and it read it fine, and it was charging it, but the other 5 ports would only recognize the USB drives for a few seconds until it would "malfunction." I was connecting but there would be an error after a few seconds, each and every time that I connected something to every USB port (Not Type C) I would connect usb drives, external hard drives, xbox wifi adapter, usb charger and other stuff. Every device I connected brought up a message from Windows saying "USB Malfunctioned" or "There was a problem with this drive" I go back and read the instruction manual that it came with and it just tells you how to connect it to your Computer, that's it. It is plug and play with no need to download drivers, apparently Windows does that automatically for you. So now I go and google a lot. And try EVERY single solution that I find on the internet, nothing works. Update drives, restart computer, reconnect cables, disable usb hub then enable, etc. I was so close to just contacting support and then I realized something about my PC- ... after hours and hours have gone by, I realize that I haven't updated MY BIOS in a long time! I went and flashed BIOS to the latest version and VIOLA, all ports are working fine! That's all it took! TLDR; If you are having problems with this, UPDATE YOUR BIOS. It helped me! ... show more

  • Works flawlessly, but not a great fit for 5.25" bay
This front panel is absolutely great in terms of functionality. The USB 3.1 Gen2 ports and the Type-C port work as advertised at the correct speeds. I can also confirm the two green ports charge my Galaxy S10 and S10+ in "rapid" mode, meaning at least QuickCharge 2.0 (as this is all the S10/S10+ supports). Haven't tried this with a Quickcharge 3.0 device yet. Note that the green charging ports are for charging only, and do not support data transfer, you will have to use the orange ports or the Type C port for that. This device connects to a USB-C header on your motherboard, so be sure you have support for this. Also, it requires additional power from a SATA power connector, so make sure you have one available on your PSU. As a device it works flawlessly, but the main issue, as other reviewers have also stated, is that it is not a flush fit with my 5.25" bay. I have a Corsair 540D Air case, but this seems to be an issue with many different cases. It's smaller in all dimensions, leaving gaps that are unsightly, and worse yet, in my case it actually allows it to be pushed in about 1/4" from the case due to it not latching properly in the drive bay. It's a cosmetic issue only, but I can definitely see how this would bother people. Also, the finish is best described as a "glossy black brushed metal" look which may clash with your case decor, so keep that in mind. Still, this device offers fantastic connectivity that is modern, and would be a significant upgrade to bring older cases up to date for 2021. Overall, I'd say this is a good buy for a reasonable price, as long as your eyes are open about its shortcomings and you can deal with them. ... show more

  • Nice - Very happy
Overall Good product. - Well finished. The brushed texture is slightly coarser, and shinier than my Lian Li case. But it looks good and fits well. - The lettering is crisp white, should last. - Installation was easy, using standard internal case screws. - All ports work properly. - No drivers needed. It was immediately recognized by my Gigabyte X670 , AM5 motherboard, running Ubuntu linux. - The included data cable is interesting. I thought it would have a Blue USB-3.0 plug at one end to fit the motherboard. Instead, it has a USB-C 3.0 Gen 2 Internal header plug. It's a square plug, not the standard USB-C oval plug. Newer motherboards have a header for these plugs. But if your mobo is older, you may need an adapter for that end of the cable. Amazon lists several made by EZDIY-FAB, probably for this very reason.
