I can't recommend it. I had mind in my boat storage and it inflated. Dont know what happen...Update as of 08/06/2019 I have determined that since the vest is the AUTOMATIC type I think the yellow bobbin may have got wet by the moist environment or water which may have cause the inflation. I will recommend this vest which should be safe and believe well storage should not cause inflation for the life jacket, but remember to follow store and safekeeping instructions for the life jacket. 1.Avoid direct sunlight (But you can use it under the sunlight instead of the long term store under sunlight) 2.Placed pfd in ventilated and dry place (The entire closed equipment is not good for the pfd) 3.Avoid placed pfd in leak or moist place 4.Please avoid placing in nearby the high temperature machine such as electric oven, electric fire 5.Avoid to put in the place with fuel, oil or solvent 6.Pay attention to prevent the damage of mice 7.If you need a long-term storage, please use rack to hung up for preservation ... show more

We bought these for when we go tubing on the river, it's known to be a bit dangerous, so a life vest makes me feel much better. However the big bulky ones are so hot and uncomfortable, & totally block you from getting any sun. My friend was wearing this since my husband decided he was too cool for safety, at the very end of the float we almost missed getting off and would have went on rapids we likely wouldn't survive on some tubes, anyways the current was strong and we were swimming against it and trying to get to shore. My friend got really scared as she started bobbing in the water & pulled it, her head was above water before she even knew what had happened. So I put my vest on while on my maiden voyage in my kayak and like the Titanic I struck a log thus knocking me into the water. The vest deployed within seconds of the water and held my head up with no issues. I am a big boy 300lbs so I was very happy to see it hold me up. I recently purchased a really nice life vest for fishing but I found it too hot to wear for very long in the heat so I did some research and found a lot of anglers using these type of vests. After some testing I found this vest to be comfortable all day. No issues with feeling hot or uncomfortable and the camo was a nice touch! My only concern is that one of my drunk friends may pull the cable jokingly.. lol ... show more
