  • A lot of features at an affordable price
Style: 7 inch w/ DVR 30m
The media could not be loaded. I've used underwater fishing cameras from a variety of a companies including WaterWolf, GoFish, Marcum, and Vexilar and this is every bit as good as those if not better in many regards, at a much more affordable price. I bought this primarily for scouting on open water and filming on hard water. Pros: Durable hard case is really nice. Protects the camera, cables, and screen so no worries about it getting smashed in the ice sled or boat. Screen is bright and easy to see and image is clear. The DVR functions works great and the quality of the video is excellent for sharing on social media. The camera has many versatile orientations including vertical, angled, and horizontal. The battery life is exceptional. It ran a full 10 hours in my living room (obviously it will be more quickly depleted if you are using the infrared lights). Cons: Records in AVI files which is great for Windows not so great for Mac users like me but easily converted using VLC. Difficult to adjust camera direction in horizontal position but with the purchase of camera panner from Marcum it alleviated that issue. Overall a great value and a fun tool to add to my fishing arsenal. ... show more

  • Edit: Worth the purchase
Style: 7 inch No DVR 15m
Ever since I bought this, I will charge it the night before and the next morning when I go to use it, nothing turns on. The battery says it’s charging but the battery wastes away and doesn’t even last a couple hours without use. Do not buy this, waste of money. Edit: after posting this review, the company immediately reached out and helped me with the situation. They helped me as much as they possibly could, offering a new replacement battery and even a refund if that didn’t solve the issue. Once they shipped the new battery, I tried it out with the system and it worked perfectly fine. The battery did its job and I was finally able to use it out on the boat. Honestly the product is great overall. A million thanks to the company for being so helpful and considerate. It is definitely worth the purchase. ... show more

  • EYOYO under-the-ice Review: 4 feet/10 feet/18 feet
Style: 7 inch w/ DVR 30m
The media could not be loaded. WOW, most fun I've had in a long time! Went ice fishing a couple weeks ago, and not exaggerating, ended up being one of my top 5 favorite fishing memories. One of my first times trying an underwater camera and it honestly fulfilled a childhood dream of mine, to have a peek at that mystery beneath the surface, which up to now had only been left up to my imagination. This camera is going to be a game changer next year with the kids, to have that footage constantly rolling for them. So here's how it went: Stepped out on the ice with high hopes but not sure what to expect. It was right at sunrise and there was heavy cloud cover, so I knew the low light made for not ideal conditions for the underwater camera. Drilled my first hole and wow, at 4 feet of water the quality of the image was great. The little sunfish were not afraid of the camera. Kept on going to 10 feet and found a whole school of perch. Now this is where the real fun came in. Drilled a couple more holes and setup a second EYOYO camera. The ability to see everything happening down there and to play the fish live like this completely changes the experience. I could set the hook right as they bit. Without the camera I often wouldn't have been able to feel a fish on before they let go, let along know what kind of fish or size of fish it was. Decided to try out deeper water and found myself at 18 feet. Here's where I got two bass and almost a pike. Without the camera I would have only seen marks on my radar come and go. I would have had no idea that pike came and that's why all the other marks had disappeared. And no idea he took a swipe at my lure before spitting it quick. If I had been right on it I could have set the hook in that moment! Missed my chance. You can see how down at this depth the image is less clear, especially as sediment began to get kicked up from the pike and from me trying to draw attention with my lure. Demonstrated to me the importance of clear water and bright sun. Tested out the infrared lights but I would suggest only using those for night fishing, since it only seemed to turn the image red and even obscured the quality a bit, making it appear cloudier. The light only penetrates a few feet as seen at 2:36 when the sunfish darts away from the camera, so if I were to fish at night I would drill the holes much closer together. **Review:** It was worth it to go for the upgraded 720p camera, significant difference, especially in the DVR function. The 1000TVL camera distorts and stretches the image. I also find the 7" screen just fine for myself and my family watching beside me. While the EYOYO camera has its quirks, at less than half the price of other brands it was worth every penny. Completely changed the whole experience. It is necessary to have a panner when using the camera. I created one by drilling a hole in a frisbee and slicing a tennis ball part-way. It worked like a charm as seen at 3:52 when I am panning to follow the bass. ============== Cons: *Materials - While the case is sturdy and the screen fits securely, the plastic does feel lightweight and thin. I have had no issues over multiple trips using the camera. No leaks or condensation in the camera. Once home, I make sure to leave the case open so it can dry out. I worry about condensation getting to the screen. *Screen interface - A few quirks with the buttons. For example, the REC button should be considered the Okay/Rec button. The Play button is also confusing. Takes some figuring out what each button does. Pro tip, do not press the power button. I got confused trying the turn the device on. It seemed to not be working but that was because the power button only toggles the screen on and off. To turn on the camera and screen, ignore the power button and just simply plug in the wires. Maybe use the power button if you are leaving the hole for a bit and want to save battery by having the screen off. Another point of confusion is the LED infrared lights. There is a button on the battery's side you have to press to turn them on. You can toggle them between 3 brightness levels but must unplug the LED cord to turn them off. You cannot use the button to toggle them off. *Camera position - The way the camera is designed makes the image crooked, but most users will not notice or care. You can position the camera at a choice of 3 angles and the wire comes out at an angle which tilts the camera slightly when you hook it through the plastic rings. This makes the image not level with the bottom of the lake. As shown in my video, not a big deal. *Camera programming - The camera hyper-adjusts to the middle of the image. It overcompensates, causing the image to shift rapidly from warm saturation, to cold, and back again. Better programming might adjust the image with less whiplash. It is nice to see the camera does adjust for you depending on conditions and focal point. *Screen position - The hinges of the case stop at 90 degrees. This is not preferred, but I thought it was fine overall. Placing the case on a stool or bucket would help with the viewing angle. Or you can release the screen and prop it at a different angle in the case. Good luck and Tight Lines! ... show more

  • New angle on angling
Style: 7 inch w/ DVR 30m
The media could not be loaded. Actually seeing what's going on definitely adds to the enjoyment of the whole ice fishing day. I like that this unit comes in a hard case that can be tossed into the Jet Sled. I've tried out some different spots just to drop the camera down and see the structure. I use it in a hub house and the picture quality is good on the 7 inch screen. I have not tried it outside with the supplied visor. Files are easily transferred to my computer and I like that the file quality is still there on a higher resolution monitor. Customer service is real with this company and it was easy to contact them. ... show more

  • Bad Battery/ Returned
Style: 7 inch w/ DVR 30m
Battery would only charge to 75 percent and stopped working at 50 percent. Otherwise the camera was fine and worked well.

  • Awesome Camera
Style: 7 inch No DVR 15m
This is an amazing piece of equipment! I don't use it for ice fishing but just exploring. The only negative comment is keeping the camera looking the direction you want to look. I'm still working with it to make it easy for me. I would definitely recommend this camera and Im happy I have it.

  • Excellent
Style: 9 inch w/ DVR 30m
Ok I bought this to help locate a drone that crashed in a retention pond, a nasty snake infested dirty dark water pond. I mean BAD can’t see anything. I didn’t have high hopes this would work but after throwing a cast net a billion times figured it was worth a try and BOOM this thing is AMAZING!!!! I opted for the 720 with the DVR and I’m glad I did! Unbelievable good video of the bottom, I would say 10 to 15 feet down. The only negative thing I can think to say is the float that comes with it didn’t have enough buoyancy and went straight to the bottom with the camera, attached a Gatorade bottle instead and it floated well. Still haven’t found the drone (only went for about 10min to try it out) but it’s only a matter of time with this! HIGHLY recommend this for anyone in a similar situation, greatly exceeded my expectations! ... show more
