The media could not be loaded. The new screen is really clear in the day light. You have to play with the depth a bit but this unit definitely helps understand what fish want and put you on them. Not a fan of the down live but the fwd live is pretty good. The cmaps aren’t the best or accurate but I’m using this just for fwd sonar not mapping. In my opinion this is the best bang for your buck. If you want $4000.00 results you must pay $4000.00 . However this does exactly what I want it to do. Still learning all the functions but nice unit for the money.

Easy install. Low power consumption. Shows good detail to about 40 feet. After 40 gets a bit hazy. You can see grass and some structure, but on fish. I would haven given 5 star. But the trolling motor mount is a complete joke. Poorly thought out. Ordered to additional mounts from Bass Pro as the original positioning ears sheer off. After several emails back and forth with Lowrance, they finally confessed that the Eagle Eye 9 CANNOT display the Custom Depth Shading feature of the C-MAP Discover chip. I regarded this feature as the only reason to purchase the chip (since the EE9 is an additional unit, and my primary fish finder has detailed mapping).
