I love these things! I wear a lot of black eyeliner and black mascara, as well as eyeshadow primer. It smears all over my face if I start with a wet-wipe. I use these pads for removing eye make-up specifically. I usually need only one pad per eye, two max (one for liner, one for mascara). They leave a somewhat greasy film on your skin, but that's part of why they're so effective, the eyeliner just slides right off, and mascara is easily freed from the lash. On an every-day basis I use a liquid makeup remover, but don't like to travel with it because it has leaked before. These pads have been my go-to for years. Literally I've had the same container for years and they don't dry out. I wear waterproof mascara and these actually take it off. Please note they are OILY. If you are using these and planning on re-doing your makeup right away you will have a mess. Don't use baby oil if you don't like these. It's dangerous for your eyes. To me, these biodegradable pads do seem scratchy but they aren't meant to be used by rubbing. When I just left them on the eye about 10 seconds, the waterproof eye makeup came off easily and I could use the other side of the pad for the other eye. I had been using bottled eye makeup remover by target and it was making the skin under my eyes all red. The almay did not irritate my skin or eyes at all. When I first received the Almay eye makeup remover pads, I was surprised by how small the container was. The lid screws on nice and tightly though so this small container would be good for traveling without fear of it leaking. There are 80 almost paper thin pads and they are quite small at about 2 inches wide. The biggest thing I noticed is how greasy/oily they are! I use one pad per eye to remove eyeliner and water-resistant mascara and while they definitely remove makeup, at 57 years old I don't find them particularly gentle but actually a little rough on the delicate skin around my eye (not soft like a cotton wool pad) - I have to be very careful when I use them just to wipe/dab gently so that they do not pull or tug across my eye. The price is good but overall I find them quite wet and greasy on both my fingers and around my eyes and probably will not repurchase them when this container of 80 runs out. ... show more

I like these because they do a great job removing eye makeup and are biodegradable. I don't like how oily they are. Even showering can't seem to "cut" the grease from them. Otherwise, very impressed with how well they remove makeup.

I have been using this make up remover for years and years. But it became hard to find! And then I found it on Amazon and put it on Subscribe and Save. It’s so moisturizing that often I just use these pads all over my face; wipe or lightly rinse my face; moisturize, and I’m done!

I bought waterproof mascara by mistake, because though it serves its purpose (swimming, crying), it is really a horrible thing. Any way I got this makeup and waterproof mascara remover. I love it, it definitely needs to be used before washing your face because it is oily and needs to be rinsed several times to get it all off, but it works great. I've been trying to find an affordable alternative to Lancome Bifacil but still haven't. I don't think this works as well and it is super oily. I use fiber tubing mascara and it's very difficult to get it off with these pads. They work but I feel like my under eyes a raw after I'm done.
