These lights are great. The 4-pack is a great value. These are a replacement for other rope light LEDs which died after 1-year. Note that these are attached to a very, very thin wire. Others have commented about this. I was a little concerned about this, but connected them around my boat dock and didn't "baby" them at all. They work great. But again, they are NOT the rope LEDs that are in a plastic or vinyl "tube"....still, I would recommend.... ... show more

I put these lights on my backyard fence because they look pretty and I find the idea of free lighting from solar energy amusing. In most weather conditions they will stay lit all night. It takes long winter nights and really could weather to have them go out. They last about two years before the weather gets into the control boxes and causes them to fail. I installed all 4 lights around my palms trees for Christmas. After a week 1 stopped working. After 2 weeks they all became dim, barely visible. I had high hopes but these did not stand the test of time. And by time I mean 2 weeks. Not worth the investment.

Well, Amazon wants my review, anyway. The lights arrived promptly, in great protective packaging. The parts all fit together nicely, not too tight, not too lose. I remembered to remove the plastic film from the solar collector!! I tested each unit, and they all lit up. I'll get around to placing them outside among my patio annuals once I buy and plant the annuals, and then we'll see if the solar collector is recharging them properly. I'm leaving this review because they appear to have been more carefully manufactured than the norm for similar items i've purchased in the past. Time will tell. ... show more

I ordered this set of string lights to place on the gate around my property and they really do add a nice touch starting at dusk. They last all through the evening into the early morning hours and the fact they are solar is a huge plus. Unfortunately one set out of the four did not work despite being in the ON position and exposed to multiple days in a row of direct sunlight. Here is the reason for my 5-star review: I contacted the seller directly last Friday to let them know one of the lights did not work and asked for a replacement of that one defective set. I was contacted the same day with an apology and offer to make things right. I then received a follow-up message on Sunday to say the new light would arrive within a week. I was pleasantly surprised when a new complete set of four lights were delivered today. The quick responsiveness of the seller as well as the beauty of the lights themselves are the reason I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend these lights to anyone. ... show more
