I have the dyson v7 vacuum and I was overdue for a replacement wand as the original was no longer in good working condition. I loved how this wand had the extension feature included so I decided to get it. The shorter length is perfect for cleaning a car or any tight space, while the longer lengths are perfect for cleaning floors, ceilings, windows, etc. I also loved that this includes a holder clip which holds 2 unused dyson attachments.
