Repair shops wanted over $200 to replace the power cord. Rather than pay such extortionate prices, using YouTube as a reference,I installed the power cord myself and it only took 10 minutes.

The cord was an exact replacement. Tricky to install everything perfectly. Requires close attention and patience - and a good instructional video!

My husband had no trouble switching cords. The original cord was long enough to move through my whole downstairs. It really was more about being used to that feature. I just think that you should know this about the replacement cord.otherwise, it’s just a cord for a vacuum. It does fill the bill to replace a worn cord without any difficulty. ... show more

This definitely helped save me money when the dog ate the cord on the vacuum. It was an easy swap. Just be careful when removing the face cover the springs will fall out and it takes a min to figure out where it all goes back into. Overall easy install. We have a animal ball 2 dyson and my dog ate the cord. Reached out to dyson and they quoted me 300 to fix. At that point I would have just bought a cheap vacuum. I got the cord and easily fixed it. Super fast and the perfect cord.
