I decided to buy a replacement battery for my CyberPower 850VA instead of buying a new backup battery unit. The battery seems to be working well for a generic brand. This one is "Made in Vietnam" while the OEM it replaced was "Made in China." I hope it will last for several years. I really don't overload my CP850VA. I just use it as peace of mind in case electricity goes bonkers whenever I'm working and I need to save my files before shutting down. I'm also relying on my backup battery from electrical surge that can fry my laptop, my gaming console, and my monitor. The process of removing the OEM battery and installing this generic battery was easy. I just watched a couple of videos online for reference, guide and to prevent zapping myself from electric shock. I'll be disposing the old battery either at our local Lowe's or Best Buy. Maybe Amazon can start having a complimentary "Recycle your old backup battery" program wherein we, the consumers, can send our old, used backup battery to Amazon and they'll take care of the disposal and recycling. I don't know. It's just a helpful suggestion. Well, anyways, this is a good battery and it's working for me so far. I bought this previously in March 2018 and it lasted until September 2023 when used as a security system backup battery. Cannot expect more. Here to buy the replacement and hope to get another 5 years out of this one.
