First off, I am not an electrician, but being unable to have water usage was a great reason to try this install. I turned of the power switch and the breaker to the water heater, started the disassembly after a lot of unwrapping, I was to the inside, after a lot of pictures for reference, I pulled out the elements, which were broken into several chucks. My only complaint is that when you scroll down to product description the images show that an element wrench is included. It's even listed in the bulleted list to the right. It did not come with the wrench nor the water drain guide board. Otherwise, I have hot water again and all is good.

So far so good. Impressive packaging appears to be of very good quality, especially for the price. I was an electrician years ago and can appreciate nice quality in fittings. Checked the elements with a meter and both are reading perfect. Also checked the circuitry of the thermostats and there are no open circuits or shorts. Many older reviews list problems with the materials and workmanship, but the components I received today seems well made. I expect these devices to last for a good long time.     • The switches and thermostats didn't work correctly after 5 days and keeps tripping the waterheater
After only 5 days and using these parts to replace all aspects of our water heater our heater is constantly tripping because the water is over 180° F. The bottom element doesn't shut off and it seems the switch that was working 5 days ago no longer works. The elements wished but the switches broke down in 5 days.
