  • good middle of the road card.
this has been a good buy for the price. I like games but not into heavy duty games that require a more powerful card.

  • I LOVE THIS CARD!
I needed a medium tier card that could handle the video work I do for my YouTube channel. My other card still works but would choke when using Davinci Resolve video editing software. I bought this card as a replacement. Plus, I do a little gaming on the side. This card is dope. It met the needs and is still meeting them. Regular maintenance and updates (blowing out the far and drivers) have this thing purring. Almost literally because it's a quiet card. I love the Nvidia recording software that came with it as well. The sound is great when I record screen captures. It's has an easy interface to figure out interface. Though Davinci crashes from time to time, it's not because of the card (I tend to run too many things sometimes in the background). When I don't and straight edit, I have no problem. I am very impressed with this card. For me, it works fantastic. 👍🏿 ... show more

  • Fantastic Card for a 1080p Gaming PC
Bought this GPU to upgrade from a GTX 960. I am a huge fan of the quality of this card, EVGA is one of the best if not the best brand when it comes to making PC internals. Installation was quick and easy and I immediately got it to boot up on my PC, likely because I already had the latest NVIDIA Graphics drivers installed. I will say that this GPU bottlenecks my CPU (Intel Core i5-6500) but not to an extent that I need to upgrade immediately. When I purchased this card, I knew that would be an issue. I am now planning to upgrade my processor as well, but that will come in time. Despite the bottlenecking, I was able to crank up the graphics settings to ultra/high in most games. I have a 1080p monitor so this GPU is pretty much exactly what I needed to see a noticeable increase in gaming quality. This GPU paired with my processor (see above) runs GTA V at 60 FPS on ultra/high, COD:MW(2019) at 60 FPS on high/medium, and stays cool while doing so. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend it for anyone in a similar position as me, provided you can live with or plan on upgrading your CPU. If your CPU is newer than my i5-6500 and/or unlocked and you have a 1080p monitor, this is the graphics card you need. ... show more

  • Good upgrade from GTX 960 2GB!
I had bought a GTX 960 2GB back in December of 2015. The card starting to show its age. After Amazon sent me a MSI GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6 when I originally purchased a MSI GTX 1650 Super 4GB GDDR6, I refunded the 1650, and I took the opportunity and went one step further to the EVGA GTX 1660 6GB GDDR5 Ultra SC. And I'm glad I did. Very good card for 1080p @ 60fps. It's paired with my Ryzen 5 2600 (Stock), 16GB RAM (4GBx4) @ 2666Mhz, 2 SSDs, and one 2TB HDD. As a performance example, I can play Mass Effect Andromeda on Ultra Settings at 60fps, and when I disable V-Sync, the card throws out 75-80fps. I suspect it can run the latest games on High to Very High Settings at 1080p. Great card if you're coming from a 900 series card. And with its 6GB of video memory, you'll be fine for the next few years... at 1080p. ... show more

  • If you can get it for a reasonable price, a decent card, but at the current inflated prices...
As far as video cards go, this one is pretty standard when it comes to installation, performance, and ascetics. You may run into some issues on smaller form-factor motherboards such as mATX. This card can extend over one of the very limited number of PCI-e slots, but the length of the card is definitely manageable (SC Ultra Gaming model). So far I've not had any issues with EVGA cards, so I can't comment about their customer support side, but the cards themselves seem to be very solid graphics cards. As far as performance goes, if you're still on an older graphics card, 900 series and down, there's a noticeable performance bump. It's not exactly night and day depending on what you're upgrading from, but if your current video card bites the dust and you can't get a hold of the current 3000 series or even 2000 series, this one will get the job done.. IF.. you can find it for a reasonable price. At the prices people are asking for this card right now, which can be double or triple the roughly $200 asking prices I was seeing in late 2020, to me at least, it's a hard sell at roughly ~$400 to ~$600 for a card that is already showing its age with current games. At current prices, in my humble opinion, the "value for the money" just isn't there, though my rating reflects the price of the card at the time I purchased it. But, if you find yourself in a situation where you need a replacement card, amid all the price gouging going on, it's a decent card, just a VERY expensive one for what you do get at today's prices. Supply and demand I suppose. ... show more

  • Hubba hubba
I upgraded from a GeForce 1050 card (which is a good card-- used it for years) to this 1660. I used the free Unigine benchmark system to test both cards, and the 1660 came in at almost exactly 100% more powerful. Average FPS: 1050- 60.0 1660- 122.5. Max FPS: 1050- 122.5 1660- 245.6. Overall score: 1050-1511 1660- 3087. But the stats aren't the entire story. From the very start of the Unigine test the graphics of the 1660 were far more clear and more crisp (at the same resolution). The flow was visibly smoother. The 1050 had 2 gigs of RAM and the 1660 has 6 gigs, so major increase there. And from my experience with EVGA in the past, I trust the quality of the card. It's not a 'cheap' card, but it's not super pricey either. If you're looking for a good mid-range gaming card, this is dandy. ... show more

  • Very powerful
It's a good graphics card for above average gameplay. I'm able to run large games with little to no lag and great graphics. If you're looking for an affordable yet powerful RTX I'd recommend this product.
