  • I have tried them all!
Size: 9 Wide Color: Brown
I have had every brand of boot known to those who need a good pair. These are far, and above, the best. They have a real break in time, start easy, but once they’re sorted out they’re unbelievable. Lightweight, durable, and a pleasure to wear.

  • The only boot I will wear!
Size: 7 Color: Brown
I hike roughly 15-25 miles every weekend and these are my go to. I will never buy another boot. The high ankle support is top tier and after a few pairs I’ve learned that you have to break your feet into the boot not the other way around. From rain, mud, snow, rocky faces, to sand they are #1. I am a women’s size 8 and they are a tad bit big but I double sock and have no issues. The price is scary but 100% worth it! ... show more

  • Good so far!
Size: 16 Narrow Color: Brown
Received these 16n's about two weeks ago and have been practicing making them fit properly. I actually think my foot measures 15 aa so I had thought long and hard in whether to order a 15N or 16N My Lowa boots, which are also awesome are straight out 15's and I am forced to wear one pretty thin sock in order to keep my right toe from hitting the end of the boot on certain occasions. This made the likelihood that a 15 N would work well very iffy...so I ordered 16N's. We are now entering mid Ga summer conditions and these boots are primarily for lawn maintenance work. It may be that I hold off with daily use till fall but we shall see due to overheating issues. Given that I sized up, I was pretty worried the fit would be sloppy and that's where I found my surplus memory foam lying around coming in handy on those days when thin socks are called for.. So unless there is huge stretching with wear, I'm pretty sure these boots are gonna work just fine. I am 71 and have trouble getting in and out of the drivers seat due to a lower back left leg issue. I am also 6"6" and I have a pretty tight fit in the car seat. A problem I immediately encountered due to the size of these babies, is I can't wear them to drive to my destination which then forces me to drive in something else. Maybe I will get used to it. WE will see. So far all in all, I'm pretty excited and maybe will update the video with the passage of time with any new thoughts or ratings changes ... show more

  • Great Boots
Size: 7 Color: Brown
This is my second pair of Kenetrek's Mountain Extreme boots. I purchased my original pair on the advice of a guide who had extensive experience with this brand and spoke of them glowingly. I can see why. I had been exclusively wearing my old standby brand for over thirty years but the last two caused very painful heel blisters. That problem has disappeared since switching to Kenetreks. Each fall, I hunt very hard in the Sierra Nevada mountains, then fish remote streams and lakes each summer. This is very steep, rocky terrain and these boots provide the best protection for my feet of any boot I have ever worn. They are fairly light weight, offer excellent traction as well as terrific heel and arch support. I have also found the waterproof membrane used in Kenetrek boots to be superior to gore-tex because it is more breathable, yet water-proof, so my feet do not sweat like my old gore-tex boots. These boots are non-insulated but I must say even this non-insulated model is warmer than the pair of Danners with 200 grams of insulation that I own. I have hunted in weather down into the low twenties and been perfectly comfortable. Kenetreks come treated with a waterproofing wax that is very good; water simply beads up and rolls off. If there is a downside they are a bit stiff and can require a bit more break in period than other brands. This can be shortened if you treat the boots periodically with Kenetrek boot wax. I figure I have over 800 rough miles on my original pair and they are still serviceable. This experience makes it easy for me to highly recommend these boots. ... show more

  • If you can afford them, do it.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Brown
I'll jump the gun and give these five stars. One whole season on some of the roughest terrain in western Wyoming my dad and I each started with a brand new pair, the rubber on top the toes on mine have a couple small chunks out of them his are like new. And when I mean roughest it's not sitting on a four wheeler or horse. Usually our mule deer hunts were three hours of climbing. Packed a deer and an elk off of rock slide vertical avalanche chutes later in the year and these boots didn't care. The support in these is amazing, at first I thought it was a bit too much, but after they (or my feet) we broken in they showed what they are really made of. My dad was struggling with $150-200 boots for a while now and I bit the bullet and gave him these last Christmas. Turned out he needed the wide version so I kept the regular one for myself. (Probably subliminal plan anyway) He has destroyed every brand he goes through in half the time these Kenetreks have held up to and they are ready for other season. He commented a couple times how I probably saved his life giving him these boots the terrain was so rough, ended up somewhere he shouldn't have been hunting. These were soaked one day (from crossing a river with an elk, not leaking) Wore my other hiking boots they were like tennis shoes compared to these. Oil them regularly, take care of your investment and you will find out they are better than buying three pairs of cheap boots ... show more

  • Buy once, cry once
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Brown
I have been through many hunting boots over the past few years and these are the best I’ve owned. After trying several boots in the $180 to $300 range only to be constantly disappointed I finally caved in and decided to spend the money and give these at try, and I’m so glad I did. Unlike almost every other boot I’ve tried these were super comfortable right out of the box, they still need to be broken in but they are not killing your feet until they do. Every time I put these on it puts a smile on my face because they are the most comfortable things I’ve put on my feet. ... show more
