  • another great Keen product for me.
Size: 14 Color: Steel Grey/Legion Blue
very good quality , i've worn Keen shoes before but this is the first mid height. Very comfortable after first days. wide toe box a must for my Squatch feet. good value, sturdy and light weight. the laces lock in the top hooks so they don't get loose.

  • Great shoes
Size: 12 Wide Color: Bison/Brindle
At first I wasn't sure I would like these boots because I need a really stiff sole. These Souls are soft and after I've worn them for a couple days I absolutely love them especially in the snow and ice they just seem to grip a lot better than hard sold shoes. So far the wait and whereability seems to be great I'm on my shoes all day long at least 12 to 14 hours. Keen are great shoes. ... show more

  • Not waterproof, weak sole
Size: 10.5 Color: Bison/Brindle
Keen boots are my go to for hiking boots. Unfortunately this model is trash. Not water proof at all. The sole of the not l boot is extremely flimsy and you can feel every stone you step on. Wish I sent these back when I first got them. Keen's quality seems to be going down, especially with the model, which is very unfortunate as I love their older models. I've got a pair that refuse to bite the dust and I've had them for nearly a decade. I'll have to be more picky on which model I actually purchase. Used to be I could grab any pair of Keens and be happy with my purchase; no longer. ... show more

  • Well-built hiking boots that need a couple minor tweaks
Size: 14 Wide Color: Bison/Brindle
I've spent the last 4 summers wearing Keen Newport sandals every day and absolutely love them. I needed a pair of hiking boots and I was pleased to find that Keen makes them. I bought these boots in size 14 Wide...yup, I have big feet! Pros: The boots appear to be very well made. The stitching is tight and precise. There is ample wrap around protection for the toes. There is a good amount of space in the toe box so my toes don't feel pinched after a long hike (this has been a big problem for me with other brands of hiking boots) but I also don't feel the fit is too loose. The sole traction pattern gives good grip on loose, stony ground and on sloping trails. I appreciate the good ankle support. And I think they look good too! Cons: The insoles do not offer much cushioning or arch support. I will upgrade with quality replacements soon. I can feel rocks that I step on up through the soles. It's not painful or anything, but I can feel the pressure on my feet. This bothered me at first but I soon got used to it and quickly found it easy to ignore. I'm hoping that new insoles will help with that. The provided laces are way too short! There's barely enough extra length to tie them and there's no way I could double knot them if I wanted to. So I need to replace those as well. This probably won't be a problem with boots that are a smaller size. I rated these 4 stars because of the insoles and laces. If those items were better, I would have given these boots 5 stars. ... show more

  • Solid boot...Go half size down
Size: 10 Color: Black/Curry
Great looking boot, solid build, still lightweight and great out the box. Originally got a 10.5 thinking they were true to size. Nope Half size down at 10 is perfect. Got the black ones for work in package delivery. Great for ankle support with the heel lock. Changed the insole to Dr. Scholls work comforts. Way better than the ones they came with. Overall great out the box. Can wear these all day no problem. Maybe a day to break in walked around the house with them outside did some different movements very flexible. Only time will tell to see how they hold up. ... show more

  • OK Hiking Boot
Size: 11 Color: Bison/Brindle
I have used the Targhee III, IV, and then the Circadia boots on all sorts of hikes. Need to point out that I have only used the Keen series of boots on dry trails only. I have not used them in the snow or either accidentally or purposely jumped into rivers or streams. For that latter category for water exposure, I think an 8" boot version would be better. The Circadia boot pair I purchased was at a disount via Amazon Renewed, and I was lucky to find it in the Bison/Brindle color scheme. Let me first say that that coloration is awesome. The best IMO. However after comparing my hikes with the Targhee series, there is room for improvement for the Circadia. The outsoles are too thin. The area of the foot where my metatarsals join, was exposed and I could easily feel small and larger rough rocks. So the sole thickness needs to be improved in that area. During hikes I kept telling my hiking crew that the foam of some of my flip flops provided more isolation. Secondly, I wear a size 11, and this particular boot was about 1/2 size too large with medium / warm weather merino wool socks. The two conditions lead to my foot heating up in the p.a. location of my foot. I could feel the boot slide as I hiked up and down hill, and just slightly on level terrain. There was no heat felt from the heel or sides of the boot. Other points: the boot strings that come with the boot should be the same as the other Keen series of Targhees. The top hook is plastic, would be better with the same metal version as the Targhees. When pulling the boot strings tight, I could never get them to feel totally tight, like it's part of my feet, and that's what you want for a boot. ... show more
