I did something brilliant for once while drunk. I didn't read the reviews and didn't know IoD stood for Isle of Dogs. When this arrived imagine my surprise when I saw it really was for dogs. I tried this anyway. It is cheaper than most high end conditioners and works better, in my opinion, than most human conditioners. I have shinier, softer and more voluptuous hair. My man loves the smell and it is also tear free. Will be ordering more! Please note: I DO NOT OWN A DOG. My hair is badly damaged. I straighten my hair 1-2 a week.     • Soft and shiny hair, with a great smell.
I have four dogs with four different hair types/textures and this works great on all of them. (1 pure Shih-tzu and 3 Shih-tzu-Pekingese mix.) They smell fabulous for about a week, I will keep track of this and update my review. The looks gorgeous. Three of my dogs come out looking like fluffy teddy bears when they're dry and one, who had silky straight hair, looks like a model (one of the mixes). One of my dogs has dry skin issues and this line of shampoo and conditioner has been great on her! The bottle, I think, says to leave the conditioner on for 5 minutes, I do not do that. I put it on, rub it in as if it's another shampooing and rinse 98% of it off. It's the only conditioner I have used for, I want to say 6 years or longer. Did I mention how soft they come out?? Super soft! 3 of the 5 senses tested and approved! (I don't recommend tasting it and I don't think hearing it does anything so that's why only 3 of 5 senses were tested and approved.) ... show more

    • Where has this been all my dogs life.
I have a smelly 83 pound black lab. I gave up on giving him baths because he would still smell. Well I read somewhere online that the trick is dog conditioner! I double wash him and then use this conditioner and he smelled so good. It lasted for a full week which is impressive given the amount of rolling around in the grass that he does. He did have some dandruff after his bath but I don't believe that to be from this product (double wash is normally done with regular or skin soothing shampoo but I didn't realize we only had deodorizing shampoo so he got double washed with that and it dried out his skin too much). I love this product but I'm sure my dog is disappointed to learn he will be getting bathed more regularly now. ... show more

I used Buddy wash for 5 years and was afraid to switch because my shih tzus skin is so sensitive. I finally decided to take the plunge and get another shampoo. I decided to buy this shampoo and conditioner and give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised as this product leaves my shih tzus hair SO SOFT and they also get less tangles between grooming. With the other shampoo, once they got sweaty, the nice scent went away and they just smelled like dogs (granted my doggies don’t really smell like regular dogs anyway). With this shampoo I’m able to take them on long walks knowing that the scent is going to come back after they cool down. I am able to go a week or 2 longer without a bath. I love this shampoo and conditioner!!! You won’t regret buying!! Also a little goes a long way!! ... show more

    • For puppy parents who bathe often...
So I have a Rottweiler puppy who is ALWAYS getting into dirty/stinky stuff. As a result we have to bathe her more frequently than I would like. The old shampoo I was using was drying out her skin (despite it being a sulfate free) and any conditioner we used left her fur gross and greasy. I felt terrible about her skin being so dry, but we had to keep her clean! I used this conditioner with the Isle of Dogs oatmeal shampoo (although next time I'll probably get get this conditioners pair shampoo) and I could not be more happy. Her skin is not dried out at all and the conditioner left her fur SUPER SOFT and shiny without being greasy. The smell of the conditioner is also really nice, but it's not very strong. After about 3 days you can't smell it anymore, but my puppy still smells clean ... show more

    • My go to shampoo/conditioner!
I love this line and scent of shampoo and conditioner. Purchased for a standard and miniature poodle. I purchased the shampoo, conditioner and the finishing spray. I have since ran out of the shampoo and switched to dove daily moisture shampoo since the standard poodle seemed to use quite a bit of the shampoo. This leaves my dogs smelling so fresh. Everyone compliments their hair saying they look and feel like velvet (both are blackc). The smell is slightly strong at first (I actually like that), it tends to stay on my hands for a few washes after bathing my dogs. I have a pretty sensitive nose and I don't feel the smell is overwhelming at all. However, some people might. You cant buy any shampoo/conditioner in your local retail store that makes your dogs smell as fresh or feel as nice as this. Definitely worth the money. It also isn't as watered down as the shampoos and stuff you find in your local stores so it tends to last a while. In between baths I just spray them with the spray in the same scent to freshen up their smell and make their coat shiny again. If you aren't super sensitive to smells I highly recommend this product. I am not a groomer, just love having my dogs smell like they just came from the groomers! ... show more
