I bought this scooter as an Xmas present for myself. It has been fun to use and gets the job done. Its max speed of around 15 Mph is really great, and if desired, it can be limited (there are 3 total settings for max speed, which is good if this will be used by a kid). I will say that the brake is a bit aggressive and one should be careful using it. However, I have really enjoyed it so far. I would definitely buy again, certainly considering buying one for my 10 year old daughter and just limiting the speed for her. Here are my pros and cons for the scooter: Pros: - Long battery life, I can ride it for a very long period without any issue - Simple user interface for using the different speed modes and changing settings. - Rides great and feels sturdy (once you make sure the hinge is locked securely, if you are not sure about hinge, contact customer service and they can provide a video on properly locking/unlocking the hinge). - Displays speed accurately and can be switched between MPH or KMH. - Can choose from different max speeds. - Has cruise control and it can be turned on/off based on preference. (press button 4 times for on/off) - Responsive support when needed. I was able to get questions answered over email, they were quick to reply and very friendly. Cons: - Brake is a bit too aggressive and can take some time getting used to. - While I like the display and the information available, the button to cycle through the different modes can feel a bit cheap and I worry about how it would hold up over time. However, so far it has not been an issue. Edit 7/3/2023: Added one star after customer service informed me that cruise control can in fact be disabled!!! I have now removed that from my Cons section. They also sent me a nice video showing how to securely latch and unlatch the hinge, this makes more sense to me. I would suggest they try putting this on the product page or maybe youtube and provide a link to so that customers can easily find it. I have also removed the hinge from the Cons section. So this is the second one of these I've bought. The first one about 2 years ago. It worked fine for what it is, cheap, very cheap as far as scooters go. At one point I wanted a second charger, and reached out to Evercross support to find out the how/what/where..............no response..........to two emails. After about 2 years of very VERY light use, the unit would not charge. Bottom cover to the batteries looks slightly warped/bloated. Thus the batteries took a dump. Reached out to Evercross again to see if I could purchase new batteries.............no response..........to two emails. I repair electronic equipment for a living, and thought I would open it up, and see what kind of batteries I would be dealing with. No dice. Even after removal of the 16+ screws............the entire casing is mummified in glue. Thus you would have to destroy it to remove them. So these batteries can NOT be replaced. Be warned. All batteries WILL die eventually. Making these scooters basically Bic lighters. They run out, you toss. So because of the price, and light use, I bought another one. Amazon painfully lost shipment three times when it was at their center in the next town over, sending it on a whirlwind tour of the entire northern half of California. Amazon made good and gave me a full refund, but still delivered it. So this second one is basically free. This one has issues with its LED readout as you can see from my pic. No, I was not doing 88 miles an hour. Thats just sitting there when I turned it on. I'm going to see if I can replace the entire handlebar/readout portion with my old dead unit. Also, you will notice a little Blutooth logo on the readout of this new one. Nothing whatsoever in the documentation about what it can do. Old unit didnt have that. I'm certainly not going to bother reaching out to Evercross. You know they wont respond. So hey! If you want to take the risk of owning a Bic lighter of a scooter, with NO support from the manufacturer whatsoever, then this is the scooter for YOU! ... show more
